Thank you. <3

Colin Moriarty

We shall see! Time is running shorter...

Colin Moriarty

It's totally insane that you even have to do that, as you said.

Colin Moriarty

I am glad someone sent you a vitatv I was going to send you mine

Hose A Contra Razz

Into the Nexus is fantastic 👌 the villains in that game are far more interesting than any of the previous games. Even though it is shorter than others, it's just as polished and fulfilling as every other R&C game. I really hope Colin finds time to play it before Rift Apart releases.

Matthew Nichols

Thanks for the update Colin, I'll look forward to the next episode.

Kaz Redclaw

Specifically talking about digital games, not disc-based ones when I'm talking about backing up. With Vita/PS1/PSP you can get qcma on your computer, then upload your games to the PC for long term archival storage, and even download them back to the system even if PSN goes away with airplane mode. I haven't researched any way to do this on PS3 yet, and my two PS3s are already full to bursting with digital games. (1tb and 750gb drive between the two systems.)

Kaz Redclaw

To the people that hate the trophy layout on PS5, while this doesn’t fix it but if you were to go to your trophies, then select a game’s trophies and then select “compare trophies” with someone on your friends list, the trophies will be scrollable up and down instead of the PS5 default of scrolling left and right. The fact that you have to select compare trophies for that to be possible is ridiculous.

Nickster

I don't think so, either. I think that it'll be a remedy to be able to play anything, whenever you want, and it will be better... but I think most people will always want to play something natively. And I don't think that will necessarily be a problem, either. It may be trying to solve a problem that doesn't ultimately exist, as technology advances. It's like how a spaceship leaving Earth going to a destination that will take it 100 years arrives 100 years later to find a ship from Earth that has already been there for 50 years. =)

Colin Moriarty

It would be nice for them to remedy that, although Street Fighter has ostensibly become a PlayStation game in some essential ways.

Colin Moriarty

The little things. I totally get it.

Colin Moriarty

Indeed. =\

Colin Moriarty

<3

Colin Moriarty

Indeed. We (devs) got one email, the consumer got another. I'll go over all of it this week.

Colin Moriarty

I have a little time to catch up, yet. My brother has my Ratchet games, so I'll need him to send them along. I think I actually have Into the Nexus already. But certainly Collection, ACIT, etc.

Colin Moriarty

Thanks for listening!

Colin Moriarty

Dustin’s getting funnier with each episode, keep it up Big D.

BlindRiot

I've backed up all my PS3 disc games using a blu-ray internal player. I'll link below the one I use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007YWMCA8/

Platinum Adventures

Into the Nexus is a great Ratchet game. Though, it's weird that they're making a sequel to that because they meant that game as kind of the end of the Ratchet PS3 story line, it especially closes off a lot of the story threads in Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty, and A Crack in Time. I think it's actually the second best of the PS3 Ratchet games, behind ACiT.

Kaz Redclaw

Actually... that makes sense given what I know about the PSN store. If you've ever purchased a cross buy game on one system, then gone to the other store, it will show as "free" but won't be tagged as already purchased. When you download it, you'll get a receipt for buying it. Once they get rid of the ability to buy a game at any price, those free games won't be purchasable.

Kaz Redclaw

According to their email " If you have purchased a PS3/PS Vita cross-buy bundle and have only downloaded either the PS3 or PS Vita version, you will need to download the other version prior to the closure of PlayStation™Store on the relevant device." which I find extremely strange. I don't understand the reasoning, and there's no way I could download both. Or I'm misreading this

Dav9834

I guess it's official now that they're shutting off the Vita store. I've already purchased about $60 worth of Vita/PS1/PSP games that had been on my wishlist, and I have another $470 piled up in a spreadsheet that I want. (I also have $1380 worth that I would buy if I had unlimited money, but I might just have to pick the best games off that list if I finish my entire want list.) The PS3 games I'm mostly just finding the disc for them if available. I don't have a way to backup PS3 games yet in a way that would survive PSN going down. Yeah, they'll still let us download the games, though eventually that will likely go away too.

Kaz Redclaw

I hope they refund his purchase of a ps vita dev kit, because that's just wrong

Dav9834

This is me not angrily writing in about six days in Fallujah despite disagreeing greatly. Hope you guys have a good week, great show! ❤

Nygile Oliver

It's official. They are closing. https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/support/important-notice/

Thane Goldberg

Please try Geforce now if you have a stable internet connection. It's something like $15 a month and you will have a better experience than with a $2000 computer. The technology is already there and it is already better.

Cash

The deleted icons are really starting to annoy me now, also had a conflict of cloud saves sync even though I didn't do anything to my console to have a conflict

Zack Fair

I also find it very strange that PlayStation has no relevant fighting game, it's an embarrassment. Especially in the wake of buying EVO.

BryanK75

I honestly think streaming will never ever be a real alternative to local hardware. As PC cards and other tech becomes more expensive, consoles will become more and more important for the ubiquity of new gaming tech and to leverage economies of scale to make things accessible. So, I agree with most of the guys here in short...it is additive or an emergency way to access games.

BryanK75

Yes.

Colin Moriarty

Oh? I was told they would pop.

Colin Moriarty

I was under the impression Call of Duty was getting smaller on the new consoles.

Colin Moriarty

We all use the same camera, I think. But my lighting is mostly natural.

Colin Moriarty

I dunno. I don't think you can really make arrangements like that this deep. I think Sony and others are committed, one way or another... we just don't know the plans yet.

Colin Moriarty

Write in!

Colin Moriarty

Well, I think they may have something to say about all of it. I think the rumor is rooted in some sort of vague truth; I just think we're missing potentially essential details.

Colin Moriarty

Heh heh.

Colin Moriarty

Dustin!

Colin Moriarty

=D

Colin Moriarty

<3

Colin Moriarty

I just think, if you separate out your legal accountability with morality... it's an interesting conversation to have. If you literally cannot buy a game, then what else are you supposed to do? I guess not playing it is an option. But that's not going to happen for some people. It's why I'm so stoked that our games at Lillymo are on Steam, at the very least, where they will live presumably forever.

Colin Moriarty

Let him live.

Colin Moriarty

Thank you!

Colin Moriarty

Maybe.

Colin Moriarty

Dustin does good work.

Colin Moriarty

Dustin is really good at this...

Sergio De Vivo

Hey Colin, you said you don't want to transfer your save for Borderlands 3 to PS5 because the trophies will pop. I'm pretty sure they don't, but that's not the issue you should worry about, the trophies on the PS5 version are totally 100% broken, it's actually impossible to earn the platinum. It has a rarity of 0.0%😂 the Eridian slabs trophy doesn't work, same with the all locations discovered trophy. They're the only two trophies I need to get the platinum. I've found all locations and slabs but the trophy doesn't work. I got in touch with 2K and they says they're aware, but not if and when they'll fix it, so fuck me I guess lol.

Liam Mcnulty

Colin: "Games are getting smaller." Call of Duty: "Am I a joke to you?"

Lee Bull

Love the show but I'm gonna be a nitpicky little bitch. Is it just me or is Colin's camera choppy/low framerate?

Michal Dudic

Colin I was thinking, that with the shortage of chips for the PS5 that I reckon we could get no more PS5 exclusives especially from the big developers outside already whats been announced. Do you agree?

Zack Fair

Small correction from this episode and I think it may have been brought up on last weeks episode. Call of Duty League is no longer played on PlayStation it is played on PC with controller.

Kyler Shotts

Do you think their quietness on the PSP,PS3 and Vita stores closing down is because of the patent for trophies and emulation for older games coming to PS5 which means backwards compatibility and just don't want to say anything yet

Zack Fair

chris' eyeroll at the sniper elite movie killed me lol

Hidari Shotaro

10/10 to whoever is doing these thumbnails every week ❤️ PS we love Dustin's round head x

THIS IS THE BEST THUMBNAIL OF ALL TIME LMFAOOO

MrMattyPlays

And as a tie into another topic of the show, you just described a use case for crypto.

I actually "own" RapeLay. As soon as I saw the news story saying that platforms started banning it and PayPal wouldn't even allow the creator to take payments from customers, I vowed to buy it no matter what. I didn't want to play it, and never did (it looks like some truly terribly made graphic novel crap), but when "the tech powers" of the modern west started telling this dude he didn't have the right to make this art, and I didn't have the right to buy or play it, I had to fight that on principle. I emailed back and forth with the guy for a couple weeks about how to pay. And every time he would email me a link to a storefront or payment processor, by the time I clicked on it a few hours later, it had been taken down. Eventually, the guy just sent me a download link via email and said "Nobody will allow me to take money from customers, so just take the game; don't worry about paying". I downloaded it, but never played it. It was never about actually playing the game, it was about being allowed to make that transaction freely with MY money. I later sent like $10 cash in the mail to the PO box listed on Google for the guy's "development company" (just a one man LLC). I have no clue if he ever got my money or not. So that's my story about being probably one of 10 people in the world to successfully "purchase" RapeLay. And the file still sits on my old work laptop to this day. Lol.

Once Dustin’s beautiful head came into frame... I’m telling you colin. It moved. (I hope this reference serves you well)

FoxHopSmash

I agree with your take on piracy colin I'm a huge fan of Mother 3 and If Nintendo wanted me to buy it I would in heartbeat but piracy is my only way of playing the game in the states

Peter Long

I know Chris loves his Snapple(let’s be honest, so do I) but is that all you drink man? Or are you just bad at cleaning up, cuz there’s at least 3 bottles at the head of the bed plus the one you’re drinking 😂😂😂

Roger

That thumbnail art is S tier! I love that it's something different each episode

HighSenpai

Is this the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie?!

Nyczombie

What a beauty of a thumbnail
