Yeah, it hits like that for sure. (That said, I love PB&J saltine sandwiches.)

Colin Moriarty

I remember watching the show on air and it always felt very grounded. When I saw the scene of Bill Haverchuck making his meal and watching tv by himself a flood of emotions came back as I recalled being a child of a single mother and poor. Making peanut butter and jelly saltine “sandwiches” because that’s all we had in the pantry, being alone for hours after school. It cut really deep and the sort of undercurrent of loneliness really hit me.

Matthew Schultz

It feels very true-to-form, I would agree.

Colin Moriarty

Possibly so. =)

F&G spoke to teenage me in ways Young Adult fiction never had. It represented burnouts as not just lazy bums but also smart kids who were just losing their shit in a way. The fact that it takes place in Michigan is just the cherry on top for me. I will never not adore this show

Connor Peterman

This is a phenomenal one season show. The geeky kid with the huge glasses becomes one of the best characters on Mike Judge’s Silicon Valley. Another potential Knockback show in a few years?

Mike Sweeney

That kit is awesome. Totally absurd.

Colin Moriarty

Not seen it!

Colin Moriarty

Definitely, particularly because I don't think Dagan has seen it.

Colin Moriarty

Makes it kinda special, though.

This is a great show. I enjoyed Nick's Neil Peart (RIP) basement drum setup. The Lord of the Based (Bill Haverchuck) was my favorite character. This struck me as an 80s-era Wonder Years style show that sadly died too early.

TB Lightning

Seconded. Grandmas boy asap please

Linda Cardellini was also brilliant in Bloodline with Ben Mendleson and Kyle Chandler, excellent show. Only 3 seasons. On Netflix. Watch the trailer if you can.

Kenny C

Linda Cardellini is underrated. She is so fine in the movie Grandma's Boy. That needs to be a topic soon lol

brody_low

The cast is absolutely stacked lol

Andrew Duda

The fact that this show was only one season is a crime
