Sacred Symbols, Episode 151: Agreeing to Disagree (Video)

I personally loved Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer. When the game came out the first time I probably played 200+ hours just on the multiplayer. Would love to see it come back just for a little extra content.

Justin Chadwick

You can cheese that section simply by retreating after you eliminate the totem and picking dudes off

The Eclectic Gamer

If a company owned by Tencent is taking the stance that they are in a blatantly hypocritical manner, wouldn't that make any good critical thinker seriously question the validity of their assertion? Semi-rhetorical question, since I know Chris isn't on here. I'm not a leftist, but that would've thrown me for a loop and I would've had an "Oh shit." moment. Then again, I haven't been on that side of the aisle since my late-teens early 20's.

Max Stahl

I thought the ME3 multiplayer issue with legendary edition was what to do about current player base and all their purchases packs. Do they some how cross play to a back compatible? How do the merge the player bases, etc.

Yeah, that was a random game.

Colin Moriarty

I think I've listened to her before.

Colin Moriarty

The talk about Timesplitters reminded me of Timeshift on PS3! Talk about a game that just came and went. Not sure of they were onto something there or if it really was as boring as my teenager self remembered!

Jazz Hynkel

Seems so.

Colin Moriarty

Thank you. <3

Colin Moriarty

I have to speak my mind!

Colin Moriarty

I haven't used that weapon much yet at all, truthfully.

Colin Moriarty

Indeed. In all things!

Colin Moriarty

I really don't want to go down that road again. <3

Colin Moriarty

You still have to climb that staircase all the way up, no?

Colin Moriarty

Ratchet looks awesome. Gonna kill in sales!

Colin Moriarty

Thanks! Welcome.

Colin Moriarty

I just want to be done with the third biome.

Colin Moriarty

I don't know that I said that (although that wasn't the intent); I believe my point was that it seems weird to put a lot of work into bringing Mass Effect 3's multiplayer back when a lot less work could have gone into making the package truly content complete.

Colin Moriarty

Thanks for listening!

Colin Moriarty

Thank you! Unlikely, at least anytime soon. That's a whole new level of production and introduces a lot of variables, including copyright strikes.

Colin Moriarty

I think Phil make it pretty clear. Wherever gamepass is, thats where their exclusives will be. Is gamepass on PS? Not yet, so no Bethesda or xbox games on PS...yet.

OCEL0T

Great show guys. Love the nuanced conversation and honesty as always.

Eric Bolella

Being political is all well and good. I don’t listen/read any kind of mainstream games media. I disagree with Colin on many points but I like how he keeps it real and doesn’t bullshit his way around a topic. Personally, I don’t care for the millennia old conflict. I don’t care for either side.

ChristianLikeTheReligion

Hey guys! Just a tip for biome 3. I spent about 5 hrs there getting killed by the flying robots but I must say don’t sleep on the ROTGLAND LOBBER it DESTROYS ALL. It’s so good for this biome because it does DOT so you can just shoot and run and wait for the enemies to die. After I started using that biome 3 and 4 were a breeze. It seems unappealing on first use but once you understand it, it really is a top tier weapon. I wish you guys luck.

Kenneth Smith

Bravo Dustin that is an excellent third viewpoint. If you don’t feel you know enough about something it’s ok to not pick a side it’s ok to do research it’s ok to tell people you just don’t know enough and you’re willing to listen to other peoples views. I wish more people on social media thought like you Dustin on this matter and many other matters like it

Christopher Lee

Hey say what you will about not getting too political on this show but I would pay to get a political podcast out of Chris and Colin they are so fucking good at this. Love you guys

Empty Symbol

I said this in another video comment too but, the third biome in Returnal, your first clear through it is way easier if you do all your leveling up in the previous biomes and then totally skip all the side rooms in biome 3. Less chance of rocket shooting sonsabitches

Kenneth thomas

With Ratchet I just see a very nice kid-shooter. Returnal has cool weapons crazy action...they are not the same...but are they? I'll stick with the Returnal 3rd person shooter then play a Ratchet game.

Erk-Prime

Long time freeloader listener, just paid and subscribed right now.

Matt Wiles

Great episode as always. No spoilers on Returnal but for whatever reason the 3rd and 5th biomes are way more unreasonable/harder than any of the bosses. I feel the game is unbalanced in that way because the onslaught of enemies is absurd. Still finishing up the 3rd act hopefully soon.

Jason Bristol

I gotta say as a huge Mass Effect fan (7 series playthroughs, on 8 now with LE), I think you're pretty off the mark that the Mass Effect community would prefer Pinnacle Station over ME3 multiplayer. The multiplayer in ME3 is still active to this day on 360, PS3 and especially on PC, and was incredibly fun. Being able to finally play as all the different races was really fun. Thats not to mention that ME3's multiplayer is surprisingly beloved by the Mass Effect community, check out r/masseffect or the old BSN (Bioware Social Network) posts about it if you don't believe me (or talk to Matty). Second to Chris, there were more than three endings to Mass Effect 3, there were the three base ones everyone is familiar with. As well as variants on those endings based on Paragon or Renegade, and EMS (Effective Military Score), which you could boost the effectiveness of by playing multiplayer. Great show, including the Mass Effect discussion, just had to chime in about it. Cheers, take care, and congrats on the explosion of new patrons!

The Late Nate

I agree 100% with Chris on the Israel x Palestine conflict. Anything we can do to help kids to grow and get educated in a peaceful environment, nothing political about that.

Lucas Gremista

Great job as usual guys, what’s the chances we can get another quadrant of the video playing relevant stuff to the conversation? Just a thought, I understand it’s a considerable amount of more work but I think it could add to the overall presentation value of the video feed. Take care friends.

leaf lettuce

=|

Colin Moriarty

I'm gonna give it another go here in a few. =)

Colin Moriarty

Ass torn a sundered XD ahhh too good <3

Josh Jelen

The 3rd biome is definitely the hardest in Returnal. In my experience, biomes 4-6 are considerably easier. I was really surprised to see how easy 4-6 were. Managed to get the plat pretty quickly after getting through 3.

Richard Duflo

=)

Colin Moriarty

HAHAHA I love that this is the thumbnail I tweeted this when I tried to research ign’s statement and it was gone.

Tyler Webb

Jaffe's earlier this week, I believe.

Colin Moriarty

What podcast were you on talking about Israel and Palenstine? I’d love to listen to your take.

Forrest Hunter

Thanks for listening!

Colin Moriarty

That would be neat.

Colin Moriarty

LOL.

Colin Moriarty

Very weird.

Colin Moriarty

Thank you. <3

Colin Moriarty

Nice to see Chris push back a bit..interesting conversation for sure.

Halph Pint

I'd personally love some kind of Gamepass app or similar, allowing me access to Microsoft content on my PS5, and would absolutely be willing to pay extra for it. Like why not?

TreyDogg

The 4 hour Jaffe Cut with Colin was fantastic. Is there a black and white version?

Niall G

One thing I want to tell you guys, for Ben and Returnal. I have a friend who was never able to play any EA game on one of his PS4, for some reason the EA games would always crash on loading.

RD_21

Colin, I'd just like to say that one of the reasons I love Last Stand Media so much is because of the diversity in opinion. It allows for conducive conversation and I don't feel like I'm having the politics of a company shoved down my throat. It's a pleasure to be a part of such a diverse community where all thought and feeling is welcome and encouraged!
