Defining Duke Ultimate, Episode 17: Breaking Down The Game Of YouTube feat. Jimmy Champane

Jimmy Champane is a producer for Austin Evans, runs his own slasher focused YouTube channel, and is working on a successful PlayStation channel on top of all that. He’s a busy man, but knows his stuff as he has consistently helped the LSM staff with their titles and thumbnails in the past. Today, I pick Jimmy’s brain on the truth behind YouTube’s algorithm, the AI that determines your explosive success for the platform, and how far down the rabbit hole you can go with YouTube content. It’s a peek behind the curtains of the worst side for content creation that always needs to be considered. With that, let’s talk to Jimmy and dive into the truth!

I really enjoyed this episode, and think this is a good direction for Matty to take with these. I have struggled to enjoy DD and DDU in the past despite really wanting to, (mostly because of Karak) but this has the welcoming tone of conversation and curiosity that I think a lot of people come to LSM looking for.

Thanks for the insight into this stuff, guys. Found it super interesting because I’ve always thought about going down this path on YouTube. Not sure how I would swing that working 40-50 hours a week with the day job, but this gave me something more to think about for sure.
