Colin - just noticed the Astra shirt. Nice merch supporting Returnal. I still need to finish the 2nd ending in that game. Finally got all the sun disks and did the final "house" sequence. The gameplay is so good but dammit.. after so many attempts, the world (as fascinating as it is) just gets jaded.. I had this problem with the original Nioh. I wanted to like it but after playing through the same levels and set pieces over and over again just to finish the game, I got tired of it. When Nioh 2 came out, I didn't want to touch it with a 12-foot pole. LOL I don't think they will make a Returnal 2. And I'm grateful for it - despite how good it was. Hope you, Micah, and Rush are well. Take care man

Thanks for using my question! It's been something I have thought about for years since seeing someone at a games site disregard everything at an e3 with gameplay as looking bad, but saying everything the was pre rendered looked great. Then also when I had this conversation on a games design course at college, when one of the guys said a game looked great based on a cinematic. I hope it becomes a thing of the past and that more companies reveal a new game with gameplay. Many thanks, another great podcast!

No, thats not my talking point which I understand the initial question asked is what sparked my comments. I didn't make that clear. One day isn't going to fix anything. I felt personally the streamers who cared to, should be completely off the platform for longer. That wont happen though because many still need the money they get from streaming. I have seen streamers on Twitter saying they have been in contact with Twitch in regards to the issues. My issue was with people not caring or understanding what has been happening for it to have gotten to the point of a protest even starting in the first place.

If people truly have an issue with something, it's time we do the hard work of actually fixing things. One Greg Miller is a prominent person who has done EA presentations amongst others, cant believe a podcaster/Youtuber on their reviews when they get paid to come and hype a game up. Another one is Andrea Rene who is a EA Game changer. Also when Cyberpunk was all the rage, you saw Youtubers hype it up and get freebies. Shills!!

I'm expecting to see GOW, GranTurismo, more gameplay of the new HZD, FFXVI I think we'll see Deathloop just because it's right around the corner and I'm hoping for a new IP. Hoping to see PlayStation do something with PS Plus also

My two cents on the Halo Infinite situation. I think the campaign is going to be god awful. The multiplayer is probably going to be pretty good though based on what I've seen of the test flight.

Hey C&D, I would like to say this is a good episode but I do believe you two should educate yourselves more on the Twitch Hate Raid situation. To me, as a black man, you both came off as dismissive of the problem. I understand y’all don’t know what’s exactly happening but it was really disheartening to see from you guys, who are white, can brush off the issue and keep the conversation towards the financial aspect of Twitch and its competition. I agree with your points about Twitch and Youtube competing. That said though Twitch has a long history of poor communication and not protecting its users especially POC & LGBTQ. People may take this comment however they will. I’m a big supporter of LSM. I just want you all to be more aware of what’s going on.

Shoutout Dustin for calling out Sony on this nonsense. Fully expecting a similar scenario for God of War and Gran Turismo. I’m thankful I have a PS5 so I can avoid the headache, but there shouldn’t be a headache to begin with. Either make the upgrades free or pay $10.

Man, my heart goes out to David... :-( I agree about games being more meaningful than a lot of people give it credit for. Is really frustrating to see people talking about gaming as a "scourge" and saying gaming is such a waste of time recently pontificating on Chinas video game policy.

Besides the obvious God of War reveal my main hope for this event is 1 genuine suprise, 1 new IP and 1 old franchise returning. My hope would be a new Sly Cooper but MGS remake or Socom would also be cool
