You might check with chime.com on their links. both the /duke from this episode and the /sacred from the sacred symbols episode come up with a 404 error on chime. I was wanting to open an account with them here and would prefer if one of you got credit for it.

All I’m saying is the framing of the position just seems odd to me when we’re dissecting games in $10 increments… Colin does this too and I don’t quite grasp it. He mentioned about the ender lilies price if I remember correctly saying that he thinks it’s about right and there was a little discussion about it takes two costing $40 when a way out cost 30 and them trying to equate value to it… mind you none of them have played the game at this point. aside from all that it just seems bizarre to say it’s a must play on GamePass but stay away at $60. Well I think the game is well worth 60 or even $70 it’s sort of changes the tenor of the discussion when games are free with a subscription And people don’t care as much anymore. Maddie doesn’t have to like every game that I like, but be honest with the people is it worth playing or is it not.

I'm not sure Matty saying he personally didnt like the game enough for a full price purchase merits this level of a meltdown.

Hey guys, I am absolutely a PlayStation fan-man, and a supporter of Colin, but I have become fans of you guys as well. I want to see Xbox do well because competition works for everyone. The success of the 360 gave us PS Plus and some great values during those years, and the success of the PS4 gave us Gamepass and backward compatibility. That said, you guys talk that shit sometimes so I have to speak up. All this talk about Sony’s bad upgrade policy has not included the simple fact that there is a difference in the PS4 and PS5 versions. The PS5 has features that do not exist in the PS4 version. The way files load, 3D sound and haptics are all new and separate. Smart Delivery is great, but is it anything more than reading the proper disk? The only difference is the frame rate and resolution. I was screaming it the other day so I thought I would scream it on here. Keep it going boys. You’re putting out great content and is PS fans need to hear it.

I’m primarily a PlayStation user, but I tune into DD whenever there’s discussion around Game Pass because I find it to be interesting discourse. The problem that I have with the points raised by Matty is that the merits of a game and customer purchasing decisions should not be tied to whatever price the publishers decide to sell it for. Deathloop, of which I wrote a more specific comment to in the other thread is the example he used. By his estimation though, if every game is free on GamePass then the quality doesn’t seem to matter because hey it’s free…this is a bad mindset. it is also quite bad for the industry and the individuals that make these games if he says well $60 it’s not worth it not at $50 not at $40 , but OK if its $30 then yeah now it’s time to jump in. And while I think they’re only trying to grow the service, Microsoft is now unable to not offer game pass they cant just say all right starting January 2023 game pass is being dissolved and games will cost $70 they can’t do that so they likely are all in and I get that most people are not like me buying 20 to 30 games a year so if they can get $180 in subscription fees for a 12 month and game quality is secondary then who cares appears to be the sentiment.. I just think discourse around game price is unproductive and “undervalues” the medium. At the end of the day, horrible take saying Deathloop is a no-brainer at $20, but pass on it now smh.

Isn't Ubisoft working on an announced, but early-in-development Open World Star Wars game? Night of 100 Frights is an absolute banger. Great show y'all. Also, I'd add the Witcher III as a game that attempts the save-data carrying over to reflect prior choices.. it is just significantly less robust than Mass Effect
