This week, the Brothers Moriarty are joined by LSM executive producer Dustin Furman and coordinator Micah Moriarty. We have two food-related topics this week, and while they're not similar, we positioned them back-to-back. On the one hand, Dustin wants to talk about his move towards healthier eating, and how our respective daily diets add to or detract from our overall health. Then, Micah dishes about expiration dates, specifically with the things we eat. What is our confidence in these mysterious dates? Are we hardcore followers, or do we throw caution to the wind? Meanwhile, Dagan wants to opine about not only doing good deeds, but being on the receiving end as well, and how the reciprocity therein helps make the world go 'round. Finally, one listener compiled some interesting data about our humble podcast Constellation, and Colin goes through some of it, wondering how the show may morph and improve into the future.

Anime episodes being 20min make great treadmill intervals with watching 1-2 episodes for 20-40 min sessions.

They pumped insane amounts of money into the system in a very short amount of time. Pair that with broken supply chains and you get what we have. An inflation super storm. Products became scarce while cash became abundant. There is not a better example of the law of supply and demand in action.

My experience working in the grocery biz as a merchant can tell you much of this is the fault of grocers and their distribution. The eggs were driven by culling chickens for bird flu/extreme heat. The pandemic highlighted the weaknesses of a JIT inventory distribution system. It has finally recovered for the most part but the high commodity prices are to sticky.

So far so good but then i notice that the Pepsi has a promotion on it for The Polar Express movie. That movie came out in 2004. This was summer 2009... So i had the smallest glass possible without being rude. It tasted really weird.

Trying to fill 6 days of content is taking it's toll most people work 5 days a week, stop putting so much pressure on yourself Colin. Also I think Punching up is fine like it is. Nintendo is not constant enought to justify extra episodes. I know you got a strong work ethic Colin ,but I think your at your limit. Also if you start to back out of some episodes you can test to see how the company does when you retire.

I'm younger than Dagan but I've got two preteen boys who keep me busy and a wife and mortgage and all the rest, so oftentimes I relate to a lot of what Dagan is saying and can commiserate with being the old man... And as for Micah, she is hands down the funniest member of the LSM family. Gene has his moments, but Micah is the queen. Plus, as a fellow AFI fan, I gotta support those who know what's good.

I’m a give you the shirt off my back kind of guy. I’d do anything for anyone. So it was hard to hear the things I’ve heard and want to be involved with politically involved conversations.
