Indeed, drinking before you're 21 in the US is basically a rite of passage for generations of young people. (And yes, the drinking age should be 18.) And while we absolutely don't endorse our past behavior, we thought we would have some fun talking about our respective introductions to drinking: Trying our first beer, going to our first party, getting drunk for the first time, and -- god forbid! -- hungover. From Bud Heavies and Mike's Hard Lemonade to tequila and scotch... well... we may have been a little over our heads. Enjoy.

2024-01-18 21:53:01 +0000 UTCFirst time I decided to drink I went into my parents liquor cabinet and filled a half drank Gatorade with a splash of each liquor in there so I wouldn’t get caught. A bit of gin, whiskey, vodka, rum. lol! I was a dumb 13 year old so I didn’t know anything. Anyways, I went to go see Superman Returns with some friends and snuck that Gatorade in and sipped on it until I fell asleep in the movie and I woke up to the high school theatre employee sweeping up the now empty theatre and realized my friends ditched me. Not my friends anymore after that.
