Punching Up, Episode 20 | The Future of Xbox on Nintendo

It’s been a chaotic few days as major rumors surround Xbox and the exclusivity of their games. Initial reports pointed to a few select older games moving over to Switch and PlayStation, but it appears the floodgates are fully opening, marking what could be a major shift in Xbox’s strategy. While most of the conversation has been around what this means for their most direct competitor, PlayStation, it’s also important to consider what this means for Nintendo. What games could make the “switch,” and could these games come to the current Switch, or is the new console coming later this year the perfect landing spot? That’s not all, though, because rumors and reports continue to trickle out regarding Nintendo’s Switch successor. The most recent points to an 8-inch LCD screen. After experiencing the glory of the OLED Switch screen, is this a regression? Why would Nintendo make this seemingly regressive move? The Punching Up crew is here to discuss, so please enjoy!

Dagan, the good thing about coffee it really is it really doesn't cost much to break into premium coffee. For around $200 you can get a legit set up. A basic burr grinder for around $50, around $100 for a Bunn drip brewer (a quality drip machine for every day coffee), and $50 for a French press and pour over kit for your top quality brews (French press for 3-4 cups, pour over for 1-2). After that set up, the next big thing is fresh roasted beans from a single orgin. Whole bean coffee is best when brewed a month from roasting. The whole beans at tour local Wal-Mart have likely been in storage for over 6 months. You can get freshly roasted beans from either a local coffee shop and roaster, or home roast. Home roasting has a higher investment, but is cheaper in the long run. However, if you have a good local roaster that will do. From there, there is espresso machines. Which, you can't really cheap out on. You need to spend at least $400 for a true machine. However, the price sorta caps at $800 unless you need a commercial machine. That said, if you do get an espresso machine, get one with a built-in grinder. Espressos require a very, very fine and consistent grind. The previously noted budget burr grinder won't be good enough (it's perfect for drip, pour over, and French press, but not espresso). So get an espresso machine with a built-in grinder as a stand alone espresso grade grinder is a significant investment (well over $200).

Dagan loves fanboys and console wars, confirmed.

Sunset Overdrive on Switch would be crazy… an Xbox game, by a Sony studio, on Nintendo hardware… basically reforming the pieces of the triforce

A good topic for Stelly, Mount Rushmore of fast food mascots- The Burger King, Grimace, Taco Bell chihuahua, and Colonel Sanders

My thing every time I hear something like this is how long are you guys spending on the toilet?! 😅

Those pods go straight through the recycling center and into the trash bails for the landfill. (I work in city recycling) there is no profit in something so small lol. Hopeful recycling is such a marketing gimmick

Any games that can run on the Series S, will be able to run on the new Nintendo console. 🤷🏻

I’m just waiting for the Nintendo e shop app to come to the ps5❤️. No but seriously, if the next switch is beefy and the online play is pristine; I may bite and get the switch two. My last Nintendo console was the Wii U so I still have all the switch titles to play, even though most of the games are just iterations of franchises that have been going since well before the n64.

French press would be perfect for 2 cup Dagan

For great espresso, get the Bialetti stovetop espresso maker, $40. You don’t need that $$$$ shit. Also, the machines breakdown and they take up alot of space.

D-money, one thing to consider about AAA games coming to Switch 2 is the Switch 2 won’t just be as powerful as a PS4, it’s Nvidia so it will have DLSS capabilities on top of that Indiana Jones should be able to run well on Switch 2

Zeke the Plumber

Dagan, just get a Bona Vita one touch drip brewer and a nicer starter grinder like a Fellow Ode or Opus. Easy way to make quality coffee

Just finished Duke. What’s up Punchers 👋🙌
