I just bought my wife a G Cloud just to mess around with about a month ago. She hasn't touched a game since Crash Bandicoot on PS1. She decided to start with Grounded, with all the warnings of the difficulty, and she has fallen in love. She jumps between Grounded, Journey to Savage Planet now, and wants to bite into RDR2. It may be beginners luck or the discipline and patience of being a mother, that is pushing her through, but I have loved watching her dive into the gaming world.

And just a little correction, Lock said the Fallout series was premiering friday but it actually just came out a couple of minutes ago on Prime Video. Reviews are pretty great and it looks like Jonathan Nolan (Christopher Nolan’s brother) did a pretty good job on the adaptation.

2024-04-10 17:06:50 +0000 UTCIt’s a touch insulting to early PS4 games to refer to Rise of the Ronin as that. Outside of the resolution bump modern consoles provide it definitely looks more like a mid gen PS3 game in every way, animates like one as well. Early PS4 games, particularly from an exclusive standpoint, pretty much all look a lot better than ROTR. Visuals aren’t nearly as important to me as most, but there is no argument that the game looks good based on the barometer of visuals in games at this level in 2024.

2024-04-09 22:51:38 +0000 UTCI’d like to add on to ronin. You’ll find cool looking loot and can transmog all of it to change how it looks. In the end it doesnt matter how much stuff you have, you can equip the higher stat loot and still keep how you look.

2024-04-09 17:53:36 +0000 UTCColin, why do you get so hung up on Souls like games? You should check out Rise of the Ronin because it's NOT a Souls like game. If that's holding you back, don't let it. Far as playing Souls games, I do wonder how you're playing them and why you find them so difficult? Every FromSoft game gives you the tools to beat a boss or area. You enter an area and find an antidote, then you're facing enemies who poison you and are in an area with poison. That antidote will help curb the poison, the design of the game is so good that you are given the tools to succeed. I'd love to see what is really tripping you up on Souls games.
