This week, Colin Moriarty slips into the host's chair, and is joined by his wife, Punching Up co-host Micah Moriarty, and the Defining Dukes themselves, MrMattyPlays and Lord Cognito. As usual, the topics are varied. Considering the makeup of the cast today, Colin kicks things off with an inquiry into Xbox's catastrophic hardware situation. Can the brand survive as-is while selling fewer than a million units a quarter? Inspired by his new multimedia YouTube project, Matty wants to talk about new ventures we've undertaken, or perhaps still plan to in the future. Leaping off of that is Cog, who recounts important milestones in his life, and wonders which moments are truly the most important in getting us to our respective today. Finally, Micah wraps things up with one of her great passions: The grill. It turns out that no matter what Micah's doing, she'd Rather Be Grilling.

Hey I'm late and just getting back to this episode, but I was hearing them talk about how it's a bummer Joe doesn't like video games more. I actually think I've heard Joe express recently that he's been getting back into video games. He just steered away from them, because he got heavily addicted to Quake back in the day. I'm adding this reference because I selfishly want to see him back on Rogan, additionally I want Rogan to add more fun/random guests again.

You might feel a pressure to move on to the next game. But for regular folks with regular jobs, most of us are fine with chipping away at a single game for a long long time. Knocking out a few side missions and activities and then a main mission every night has been incredibly satisfying. And since there’s no pressure to cover more games, I’m completely fine just getting lost in this game for a couple months.

If online anonymity didn't exist and everybody had to use thier real names, then there'd be a LOT less fuckery in the world. Think about it. (Not saying I want this... just pointing out the irony)

I really enjoyed your interviews with him and watched many more other interviews of his that helped me to understand many different viewpoints. Haven’t watched in a while, but I think talks on opposing or just other ideals are important for people to accept or at least understand. Well, whatever.

I have limited time myself. It has worked wonders. The classes are games themselves and there are high scores and leaderboards

2024-04-29 17:49:03 +0000 UTCOnce you start playing games regularly on PC, you do not go back. Going back to console once you have a real PC is like going back to 30fps after playing at 60 regularly. It’s so vastly superior in every way imaginable it blows my mind how many adults try to deny it. Crazy how many supposed gamers are okay with playing gimped games, having to choose between frames and resolution. All it takes is giving it a real chance. Wanting to sit on your couch is not a legitimate excuse, you can build a PC the size of a console, sit it on your entertainment center and use any controller you want to control steam big picture(console)mode. A better ecosystem with a full achievement system. Everyone has to grow up eventually
