It isn't necessary to play the first game to understand the second, however, Octopath 2 has noticeable improvements over the first game in a few ways. Gameplay and exploration is better in the second game as well as story cohesion with the 8 characters. Preferring the stories between OT1 and OT2 is subjective because I've had people tell me they liked the first story more and vice versa. You can say the same with music too. Personally, I liked the second game better, but I also really enjoyed the first game. Don't expect a groundbreaking narrative, but you will experience a unique and well made battle system and a beautiful world to explore.

Sonys direct competition hasn’t released a worthwhile candidate since Gears 3 and has made PS5 the defacto console of choice. If you think there’s this massive overlap between Japanese shit like Final fantasy/stellar blade/gran blue fantasy and Helldivers… I don’t know what to tell you. You are not even remotely the norm in this case. Western audiences who don’t subscribe to the JRPG factory have had a slow year. Where are the games?

2024-06-06 04:30:55 +0000 UTCI don't know if Brad will see this, but in response to White Knight Chronicles: If you haven't played the games before, I'd recommend picking up WKC2 instead of 1. White Knight Chronicles 2 features all of the single player content of 1, but retooled with the improved combat introduced in 2 in addition to the new story stuff (the actual sequel stuff). In other words, unless you're interested in playing through the original with the worse combat for the sake of experiencing what it was like, save yourself some time and headache.

Take one look at that end of it and nope out. Probably more indicative of what I read and watch but gaming does seem to be a complete shit show for weeks at a time every other month.

Turok 2008, despite feeling a little muddy control-wise, was a pretty cool reboot and I was disappointed to not see a continuation in that style.
