This week, I (Colin) am joined by my lovely wife and Last Stand's coordinator Micah Moriarty, Summon Sign's Brad Ellis, and Lockmort's Edit's Lockmort. And boy, do we have a nerdy assortment of topics for you. Micah kicks things off with a short D&D-like campaign she wrote for us to participate in, complete with branching paths and dice rolls. Will we survive? Brad follows-up with a chat about LEGO sets, their quality, their licenses, and their great expense. Are we fans? From there, I (Colin) take over by talking about schadenfreude, the German word that means reveling in the misfortune of others. Let's be honest: None of us is above it... right? Finally, Lock wraps things up with a peek into the what-ifs of Assassin's Creed's future. If it was up to us, where in history would we set a new AC title?

I’m assuming greed and wanting to get what they could out of the franchise was more important that finishing the story. They might as well just change the name to Historical Fiction Simulator 12 lol

It’s more an observation that people love to pile on to people that are easy targets, in a way that makes them feel like better people. Like, you aren’t a better person all of a sudden because some twitch streamer talked to a kid and you tweeted at him for it. Maybe just a thing of, look at me calling out this bad person, I am now a good person because I did that.

I left in 2011 and my mom did shun me for several years, she later left the church around 2020 for her own reasons and now we have a somewhat distant relationship. -Micah :)

I have a coworker who literally had to reset his entire friend and family group, starting over from zero because he left the religion. His own parents won’t even talk to him. 2024-07-08 22:50:32 +0000 UTCI'm actually of excited about future Assassins Creed projects because one of them is a multiplayer project. My favorite multiplayer of all time was Assassin's Creed. It premiered in Brotherhood and was around for Revelations, AC3 and Black Flag. I miss it so much, I played the heck out that mode. I hope it returns again.

Some DMs focus on world building, like geography, economy, anthropology and some key NPCs, then let the players play in the sandbox.

I’m running a campaign in the Forgotten Realms, but I’m using the sourcebooks from 3rd edition or whatever. And most crucially, there are a lot of other games!
