But the crush on PlayStation Direct for regular Pro units and other 30th anniversary accoutrements all at the same time led to a lot of disappointment. What did each of us come out of the scuffle with, and how do we think Sony can better manage special events like this, where loyalty and engagement should matter a whole lot more than random queue placement. Plus: PSN goes down for a surprising amount of time, HBO's second season of The Last of Us gets a trailer, something seems up between Sony and Square Enix, Dragon Quest's creator isn't too happy about censorship, and more. The co-op with my fiance was really fun, and just like Astrobot, the game had us smiling the whole time. I also think the last challenge level ripsnorter is harder than the Titanfall 2 speedrun level. Astrobot challenge levels were a little too easy, especially the last one. One of the few drawbacks of that game for me

The modern media landscape in the US has very little to do with Christianity, and is in fact a response against it in many ways. This has its roots in the 1960s countercultural movement (although you can draw its deeper roots all the way back to the Enlightenment) and has ramified through numerous media avenues, especially in the last 10-15 years. It's not like people who identify as Christians are totally unwelcome in the current media landscape or anything, but we've seen a massive shift towards distinctly un-Christian values in modern storytellingâpro abortion/LGBTQ/sexual liberation etc, while eschewing or even villainizing more traditionally Christian mores (the nuclear family, heteronormativity, pro-life stances etc). I'm not saying that's a good or bad thing, but you can't deny that it IS happening, and that it DOES go against many of the teachings of traditional Christianity, at least as people tend to interpret it.

The brown bags were normal nothing too crazy about it. It would be counter productive to throw a massive amount of freshly cut potatoâs (into fries) into a bag if it wasnât sanitary to do so. Last I worked at five guys we had a third party company (state inspection as well) would come in and check the sanitary of the store quarterly. Every time we passed everyone got bonuses across the board from crew members to shift leads and managers, so there was always a reason to keep the store in tip top shape.

That idea/notion is something that was popularized by Xbox fanboys / trolls. It is pretty annoying to hear it pushed so heavily on sacred symbols every week. Especially since what the reader said is 100% true in that Dustin doesnât really hold Nintendo accountable for this at all on his Nintendo show. He tried to say that Nintendo does it more creative ways but thatâs just kinda bullshit in my opinion. If youâre gonna make fun of Sony for having too many mature players themed games then you should also make fun of Nintendo for only making family/kids themed games. But I feel like he just gives it a pass because he has a higher affection/ affinity for those games. This is a flaw in BOTH how Chris and Dustin critique games in general. Stuff that they are more invested in or bigger fans of they give a lot more passes to and express a lot more grace when discussing. But when it comes to things that they donât like the style of the game as much (whether itâs good or bad) they are hyper critical on aspects of the game that are inconsequential or just out right try to make fun of the game/ be little it. A big example of this is a game like Elden ring and how they endlessly glaze the game no matter what

Itâs just that up until recently, the MSRP has stayed fixed or steadily lowered, while things like sales allow for fluctuation up and down. HZD is the first I can think of (though Iâm sure not the first) that has had its fixed retail price raised. I know itâs just a matter of optics, but I feel like if Sony just kept their first party games on the storefront as advertised at $69.99 and just constantly âdiscountedâ they could play with the prices all they want without any pushback. By lowering and then subsequently raising the base advertised price, itâs just messing with the norms that have been set.

I assume that they put the standard prices where people will still buy it normally, and then you get the people who find the standard prices egregious (me) to spend through the app, albeit at a lower profit margin for them. Iâm just under the assumption that app users are being subsidized by full price customers, and if it ever becomes too costly for them, theyâll scale the deals way back. Iâll take advantage of it for now. Also, shout out to the Subway subreddit for always having the $5.99/$6.99 footlong coupon codes posted.

I consider a Big Mac and a large fry for $5 to be a decent deal in 2024 and that's easy to do any day with the app. what I wonder is: what's the true incentive to get people to use these apps? I don't see any major ad spaces on there and there's no subscription fees, so I don't see how they're generating revenue from it to begin with. I understand the argument of "well, you're more likely to go to McDonald's in the first place if you have the app," but it seems like they could accomplish the same thing by just, you know, *lowering prices.* You'd get more customers in the door with just better value, you know? that said, I'm naive to the machinations of large corporations and they probably have some kind of scuzzy reason for encouraging us to use the app (i.e. "selling your personal data to other parties in exchange for revenue" or something similarly gross like that). Guess I'll continue to get burgers on the cheap in the meantime.

He basically said that the Five Guys bags were horribly nasty and unsanitary because of "where they came from" (???), and that I should only eat the burger (since it was wrapped up) and the fries that were in the fry cup itself. It falls more in line with you get what you pay for and since the burgers are priced high youâre essentially paying for every topping. If you get a Double Bacon Cheese Burger for 14 bucks or so you can get unlimited topping and side hack (you can ask for extra cheese and bacon as well as itâs included in the price). You get what you pay for so make it worth your while! If anybody would like to know more about five guys Iâm sure I can answer your questions.

2024-10-04 22:24:24 +0000 UTCHey guys, just wanted to chime in on the AstroBot/Square Enix exclusion bit. While yes a licensing fee may have gotten in the way, it is much more likely that Square's general overprotectiveness of their IP was what may have been the barrier. Square generally does not want the depictions of their characters to be messed with, so making the characters in Bot form was probably what turned them off. In Playroom, the buster sword was shown in its original form, but no characters were in Bot form. Also, if you look into the how difficult Square was with Nintendo in getting their characters in Smash, this lines up with how particular and overprotective they are. That said, if it was about money, I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up making their characters in a DLC pack because they feel their characters are more valuable and should be a separate purchase that's probably overpriced. And I'm gonna buy it. This is sadly just the way they do things.

With BOGO for $1, Iâve gotten 2 McDoubles, 2 hot and spicy McChickens, and paired it with a free large fry for orders over $2, all for literally under $8. Of course, quality is very hit or miss, but donât deny that you can get fat as hell on the cheap by comparison.

Patties very under-seasoned, and just not a fan of the fries. I also find the sizing obnoxious. I donât care if you get more, itâs annoying. I just donât get the effusive praise heaped upon it. They think taking a heavy multi play approach will help when it most likely wonât. I fully expect FF17 to get a major marketing push from XboX

But when it comes to this anniversary PS5 stuff, it would have been nice for them to offer it throughout the year.
