KnockBack, Episode 240 | Lost (Season 2)

Hey yourself. The reality on the other side of 'The Hatch' has finally been revealed, but really, such an answer only multiplied the mystery. Lost's second season, which first aired on ABC in 2005 and 2006, is widely considered the strongest run of episodes in its six season arc. In all actuality, it's hard to even explain much more without spoiling the show, what with its riddles upon riddles and all. So we'll keep it short. The Others, the Numbers, the Tail, the Dharma Initiative. It's all here. And we're eager to discuss it all with you.

KnockBack, Episode 240 | Lost (Season 2)

Is season 3 a thing or am I missing it?

Interesting that Colin highlighted the Catholic imagery and also John Milton, as Milton was a Puritan and directly opposed to Catholicism.

Through the Looking Glass has my favorite moment in all of television.

Cliff Boyd

Those little games you and Dagan used to play before and after the show. Sorry, I know it’s been forever since you last did them but I always forget to comment asking lol

Colin Moriarty

Thank you.

Colin Moriarty

Thanks. Doing my best. =)

Colin Moriarty

What do you mean?

Colin Moriarty

I see.

Colin Moriarty

Good info.

Try un sweetened vanilla almond milk instead of water in your shakes. You can thank me later big man.

Thanks for the content, I’m looking forward to the next one.

Well stated. I was definitely more in it for the characters, that’s usually first for me in all mediums, but I do and did enjoy the mysteries.

PS: I’m talking taste wise it’s amazing, I have no idea about which is the best health wise. Though I do know that I had a college lifting coach who said it was the healthiest available

Optimum nutrition is by far the best whey protein imo. Milk chocholate is good plain with milk, or really good blended with milk peanut butter and a banana. Keep getting those gains Colin!

I know it’s probably been about a year but whatever happened to the opening and closing segments?

Through the looking glass was the best episode of lost ever imo (finale of season 3), the constant is definitely in the top 5 or probably 3. Haven't seen the show in a half decade or more so my opinions might change in another viewing.

The actor who played Mr. Eko wasn’t fired. I believe he wanted to quit the show and agreed to stay on long enough for them to wrap up his character.

Season 4 is the writer’s strike year. Season 3 is when the show hit rock bottom in ratings and viewership. It had a mid season break where the show runners negotiated an end date with ABC so they didn’t have to keep making stuff up to extend the life of the show.

Koray Savas

Libby Eko & a DDK too.

Kenneth Koepnick

Wasn't that just Michelle Rodriguez only? I don't remember any other high profile issues with core cast members

Devon

Season 3 was the writers strike year, hence why the season is disjointed. Season 4 is the best and the constant is one of the greatest TV episodes of all time. Love ya penny

Michelle Rodriguez (Ana Lucia) and Cynthia Watros (Libby) were both arrested for drunk driving in Honolulu in 2005. Despite the show’s denial, rumors circulated that these arrests, along with subsequent jail time, lost these actresses their roles on Lost. Rodriguez and Watros were killed off in the same scene weeks after the incident. Rodriguez claimed she wanted off the show. Who knows what the real reason was. Idk why anyone would want off a hit TV show filmed in Hawaii, but maybe that's just me?

Yeah man. There are two camps when it comes to Lost. People who only cared about the mysteries....and people who cared more about the characters and the journey. Those in the latter tended to love the show in the end. While those in the former were disappointed. I loved it

Lost was rife with booze problems. Lots of the cast got written off of the show because of DUIs & incidents off set Part of the problem with the overall feelings on the show are the divide between people who were in it for the mystery… or in it for the characters. The folks most disappointed by the show are frustrated with the answers about the island & the world. But ultimately, the show is about characters… not the island. It’s about the people who are lost. Which is why it’s my favorite show ever.

Kenneth Koepnick

I don't know about Season 2 being "widely" considered the strongest run of episodes. Seasons 3 and 4 are probably the hardcore fan favorites. Hell, "The Constant" alone, makes Season 4 the best. (imdb scores point to Season 5 even being more well liked than 2)
