I am glad you are enjoying the combat of God of War, but for me personally I find it more annoying and aggravating most of the time. I mostly just finished the game for the sake of seeing the story as I do quite like Norse mythology and do find their take on it interesting. I think I have narrowed down my biggest issue with it being this "Watch your back" simulator aspect, with enemies regularly spawning behind you and many attacks coming from off screen; having Mimir and Atreyus constantly telling you to watch your back, as well as these awful arrow indicators. It is just really terrible design that could have been remedied by simply allowing you to zoom out the camera if you so desire, allowing you to more appropriately react to incoming attacks. I love action games and have played a ton of them, for me this game fell a fair bit short in the combat. Don't get me wrong, there are some really cool and neat things you can do and the finishers are great, it's just there are some major missteps.

I keep getting let down by PS Stars .. purchased the cowabunga collection and it never popped for me in ps stars.. the monthly checkin hasn't popped for me this month.. cool idea.. just a little glitchy

Whole-Heartedly agree with Colin’s Call of Duty take at the end. It’s dominant because the gameplay is addicting. To this day Call of Duty still has unmatched gun play. Nothing even comes close to feeling as smooth, despite what Chris thinks. Halo has a very small slice of the FPS audience, battlefield couldn’t keep up, and any other competition has pretty much died because their games just aren’t as fun.

Just heard the theory about autism and those pokkemon games etc etc. I've been working part-time in a fantastic facility where we look after people on the spectrum, and I thought the EXACT same thing after only working here for a week. Another thing I've noticed is the importance for Scores (Metacritic's etc) for people on the spectrum. Some of the guys refuse to play games they've looked forward to unless the score is good enough. I try to convince them to ignore the score and check it out anyway. But no...

Hey Colin, not sure if you were aware but when you were talking about the HBO actors in The Last of Us, Merle Dandridge not only is Marlene in the tv show, she is the actual voice and mocap from Marlene in both The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II. I was pretty happy when I heard she was playing as Marlene in the show as well. Hope you are well :)

@Ryan Barry This was before the reviews had dropped, would totally understand people having beef with it if it was purely down to reviews. It has gone from a must buy for me to wait for sale. But some comments were being way to acerbic from people that had not even played the game yet.

The game is an ultra linear monster closet fest with repetitive, unpolished combat and mostly boring canned jump scares. They needed more time for development. Without the fantastic presentation it’d be a 5/10.

Doesn't appear so man, breaks my heart, but its reviewing pretty average across the board at least with "reputable" (I use the word loosely, maybe established would be better) games media outlets.

I think the strange stink against Callisto Protocol is from Dead Space fan boys who weirdly want the game to fail and people who took exception to what Schofield said about crunch, and are taking it out against thr game.
