Constellation, Episode 1 | New Year Resolutions, Ancient Apocalypse, Artemis Program, Hidden Talents

For each episode, Colin and Dagan are joined by two random guests from LSM's orbit to discuss four random topics, and this time around we're pleased to be joined by the other two-thirds of Sacred Symbols: Chris Ray Gun and Dustin Furman. Dustin wants to discuss the vaunted New Years Resolution with an eye towards whether they serve any function at all. Chris was recently captured by Netflix's docuseries Ancient Apocalypse, and wonders if an Ice Age-era civilization predates all we know about our past. Colin is amped about NASA's successful Artemis I launch, and sells the crew on why a return to the moon is a great thing (if not inevitable). And finally, Dagan considers the likelihood that we've all missed-out on discovering some of our truest talents, a sign of the rapidly passing years and our inability to manage our infinite potential.

I absolutely implore you guys to do more research on Graham Hancock because the show was full of falsehoods and misdirections. He would straight up lie in mist episodes and its super disheartening to see the archeological community get bashed in such a way. The way he presents the community as unaccepting of new discovers is absolutely false but he benefits greatly by being seen as an outsider thats why he keeps using terms like "Mainstream archeology" but there's no such thing, all archeology is scientifically based and peer reviewed, its true or it isn't. In the first episode he had on a real scientist Dr. Akbar who gave him some credibility, then had on Dr. Hillman who agreed more with his points and had the dirt samples supposedly from 24,000 years ago but he hasn't released any of his data for peer study and even has a team of 30 Indonesian scientist that have all come together to petition for his dismissal. Not too mention the underground space in the "Hill" that they conveniently forgot to mention was an extinct volcano so a vacant space inside isn't out of the possibility, add in the after the fact 3-d rendered "Chamber" makes the vacant space look more like a room with finer detail than the Imaging would actually produce. I absolutely love history and think shows that spark interest in it are great but the way the show bashes and disparages the honest researchers who give their life to this work and do it well knowing that discoveries could be made that would make there work obsolete is just awful. Hearing you guys throw around thing like "Archeologists sucks" and "what Graham Hancock is doing is somewhat selfless" just sucks, sunce graham is definitely profiting off this and definitely used his connections like his son being "Head of New unscripted shows" at netflix. Keep up the great works and hope you guys check into this guy a little more.

I imagine the majority of people come to Colin/CLS/LSM mainly for the gaming stuff, but sooner or later realize that it’s much more than that. You have an excellent team of different people with great conversation and listening to you tackling many a different topic pertaining to life in general and anything at all it’s a really good idea - this first one proved it. I seriously struggle with dry skin and the fact he can have boiling showers and not suffer any consequences is borderline not fair. Tepid showers in Scotland in January isn't fun!

Each year I renew my old resolutions and add a new one. Read a book a month, write 400 words a day, exercise goals, all with intention to continue to build habits towards who I want to be. So far it has been effective but you gotta commit and and persevere

I was laughing so hard at the randomness of it - Nick brought up marriage vs. being single and by the end of the conversation y’all were chatting about sitcoms or something. You had brought up 311 at one point, was just great fun. Happy to hear this (just based off the description?) may be something similar.
