Sounds nice. =)

Colin Moriarty

Ok sure, we’ll hate on them until they take all their fortunes away, to tax havens. Billionaires finances exist as economic potential, if you want to see that potential held by a wider spread of people, then you must remove the governmental over-reach that stifles smaller players. Any other solution is just another fat-cat.

TreelineMars

Okay

Regarding the cooking discussion I suggest to learn to make a one pot chicken soup with any vegetables you like. Cooking the entire chicken in the water and making your own stock is extremely rewarding and a meal that can feed your entire family multiple meals. Take a look at Ragusea’s guide 👉 https://youtu.be/xudhMRXvJI0

Yes, it is a conundrum.

Colin Moriarty

One post per thread! =)

Colin Moriarty

To be fair, there's a fundamental misunderstanding with most people how income tax works, versus capital gains, etc.

Colin Moriarty

Thanks for listening. =)

re : Billionaires - did we not all voluntarily make them billionaires in the first place? I am somewhat sympathetic to a desire to make things more egalitarian but I can never shake that question.

Sam Strajack

Lol they have you fooled

Stonehorn

Billionaires literally put everything into the system, literally the top 20% of US tax payers pay for everything in the US budget - except social welfare. The fortunes don’t sit in the bank - they are invested and paying hundreds of thousands of peoples wages and salaries each

TreelineMars

We have come along way from a riot over 3% on tea.

TreelineMars

The problem with income is not that people have so much, but that more people don’t have enough, the problem is over systemization - a problem I’m sure Colin is familiar with as a libertarian leaning person. How many compliance costs does the average person pay? And then the government pays it out on rediculous s#*t.

TreelineMars

To the billionaire topic, I think it's less about raising taxes, and more of getting rid of the loopholes that allow them to pay almost nothing in federal taxes.

Daegan! I'm a professional animator too (and I follow you on Twitter!) and everything you said about social media was 100% on point and relateable to me too! I love /hate it, I love following and being inspired by other artists but also feel discouraged and a bit envious of others work sometimes too. Plus I feel I can't work without YouTube too! (ESPECIALLY annoying when I have to lip-sync a character! haha). You aren't alone in your thoughts man, I think maybe its all just the follies of being an artist online nowadays.... Also do I appreciate your dad jokes too ;-)

Ryan H

I'll look into that.

Colin Moriarty

We will.

Colin Moriarty

Thanks!

Colin Moriarty

Thank you. =)

Colin Moriarty

Awesome.

Regarding social media, I’d just point to The Social Dilemma on Netflix, and its producer Tristan Harris. Our culture is really fucked if we can’t figure out a way to escape these issues that all came online for the first time like 13 years ago.

Walt Duncan

Well done as always!! Keep ‘em coming

Napoleon in Rags

This really is such a cathartic show. Keep up the excellent work lads!

I'm loving this show so much!

This episode made my six hour flight much more bearable, great stuff
