I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that they might be saving a lot of combat for the last two episodes. We’ve spent most of the season with Joel being off his game and feeling weak. Ellie is in the most danger during her time with David and when she’s in the hospital. It would be a nice pay-off after all this setup to have Joel finally be a wrecking ball when she really needs him.

Interesting, could be. Being that big requires carbs, I think.

Colin Moriarty

I think you're right.

Colin Moriarty

Roger that.

Colin Moriarty

I completely agree with her; I could care less what others are saying. This is about our interpretations, that's the idea!

Colin Moriarty

We shall see.

Colin Moriarty

She crawls through the melee in KC without ever being touched or attacked. So that's just how I read it.

Colin Moriarty

It was awesome.

Colin Moriarty

I could only imagine.

Colin Moriarty

They're both from Long Island, so it's tough.

Colin Moriarty

Also betting we get Ashley in the next episode and Troy in the David episode

Kody Kindig

So last episodes will probably be in order of Left Behind, David, and then St. Mary's.

About the lady being to big for the time. If you think of it like eskamos if you look at the tribes that when I'm winter time it's like a hybernation. They store fat and it's not like she is working out. We just saw them eat rabbits but we know there are deer bears and and other animals that eskamos use the fat for everything including calories.

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is totally a real place. I lived there for years and can confirm.

Dagan expressing disappointment in himself for not knowing that the noise upstairs was monkeys made me laugh. Don't worry Dag, very few of us guessed it. Also Micah saying she'll not be watching the bonus content because she wants to formulate her own opinions was badass. I'm with you!

I feel already that they are going to double down on Neil’s assertion the cure was going to work. In this episode when Ellie was telling Joel she had wiped her blood onto Sams leg, Joel says it probably wouldn’t be that easy but…. If Marlene had said it would work, then it would work. For me, after I played the game for the first time, and you read the notes and listen to the audio tapes as you sneak around St. Mary’s, there was absolutely no guarantee it would work. I swore some info hinted that Ellie was in fact not the first immune person, and all other attempts had failed. Could be faulty memory. But for Neil to say it was for sure going to work is pure nonsense, sorry.

Colin has made a couple comments now saying he thinks that the infected see Ellie as infected as well. I don’t think this is the case at all. It seems he got that notion when she was running around a bit freely in the chaos during the bloater scene in episode 5. I read it as the infected were preoccupied by the group of humans and/or getting shot by Joel. When she takes refuge in a car, a clicker goes out of its way to get inside and chase her. I think this is proof enough to show her immunity is not also a mask. I think Colin misread the situation. Maybe Tess starting to truly get infected and her intersection with a stalker influenced it a bit.

The recreation of Jackson from Last of Us 2 was insanely accurate and I think they made the relationship between Joel and Tommy even better. The winter chapter has always been my favorite and this episode was shot beautifully. I'm so excited for the cannibal episode

As a father to a daughter this episode had me either smiling or in tears. Incredible writing and acting. I feel so bad for Joel and love that we got to see him embrace his new found fatherhood and start to live his current life.

Dagan says Harrisburg is awful. "Roosevelt's admiration was boundless and he proclaimed the new Capitol 'the handsomest state capitol I have ever seen." Who will you trust? Dagan or the Bull Moose?

Jason W

Rip Joel, Tommy’s niece

Andrew Rose

It would be interesting to have someone on that hasn’t played the game. Just to get their perspective about Joel and Ellie’s relationship so far

Meatball

Phenomenal episode and acting from everyone. I love this adaptation so much, however this feels like it needed to be 10 episodes. So much of the bonding is through combat, barely making it through clickers, random enemies, stealthing through buildings etc. I feel like we should’ve had 1 more episode of them traveling and surviving from KC to Jackson in those 3 months prior to this episode. Loving this show, I just feel like it’s condensing down their relationship due to the time constraints of only having 9 episodes, while also making their travels feel slightly less dangerous and shorter than it is in the game. The acting is absolutely there, but the moments in episode 6 didn’t quite feel earned yet. I still think they made a mistake focusing the majority of episode 3 on Bill & Frank, at the cost of losing valuable characterization time we could have had between Joel & Ellie that would help to pay off moments much later.

After watching this episode...im not gonna be able to handle the rest of the season 😭 there's no way they do Part 2 next season right? They gotta save that for season 3-4.
