ps vr 2 has a chance depending on future support. They started out gimped because the improvements make backward compatibility impossible, the launch lineup was horizon and some ports to re-buy, and they’ve given 0 indication of what’s coming. I bought it because I’m a dumb adult baby, but it’s silly to expect most people to pay $600 for a console without telling them why.

I’m at the point now that I have been burned to many times by Sony to invest in playstation besides the main consoles. I bought both the Vita and PS VR day one I really loved the hardware in both and loved some games on them. But with both it seemed that Sony gave up on them quickly, and if Sony gave up on them I don’t understand why they would expect third party developers not to give up on them as well. So as much as I would love to get a PSVR 2 I really don’t want to be burned again when they give up on it in a year.

Square Enix’s practices are so odd to me, and I need someone to draw me a map. Lol. If it’s “obvious” that Square’s games don’t sell on Xbox, and “there’s a price to port to Xbox,” then I need someone to explain why Star Ocean Divine Force, Diofield Chronicle, and Final Fantasy Crisis Core Reunion all released on Xbox, but titles like Live A Live and Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster(s) aren’t. I would assume Square’s best chance of selling their games on Xbox would reside with the Final Fantasy series, which would explain Crisis Core Reunion appearing, but still leave me scratching my head on the Pixel Remasters missing the platform. Can’t believe there’s a bigger market for Star Ocean and Diofield Chronicles on Xbox, than there is for Final Fantasy. In the words of Commodus, “It vexes me so. I’m terribly vexxed.” Lol.

I hope Square Enix is considering remakes of FF 1-6 with HD-2D graphics and all the additional content(FF 4 The After Year etc...). This would be the perfect opportunity for them to create the definitive versions of these games that will be playable forever. Similar to what Capcom is doing with the Resident Evil franchise. Final Fantasy is as historic as Resident Evil and deserves that treatment.

Gotta disagree with Chris about people just going with the game called "FIFA" rather than the EA Sports game, as the majority of casual gamers who have that as their main game, extensively play the Ultimate Team mode - which is staying with the EA brand. I'm sure there will be a handful of unaware people who aren't sure and go for the FIFA game at the very start, but I'm sure EA will be doing a huge marketing campaign to get the point across that this is the new game. They'll be advertising during and alongside Premier League, La Liga, Bundeliga etc. games, and this is where the casual fans will be watching. More hardcore fans already know the deal

RE 4 original and remake we are talking Michael Jordan, GOAT status, Dead Space is like Kevin Durant, great, but on a lesser tier. RE 4 I think is definitely a 10, one of the best games of all time.

As someone who games on a tv that my wife and kids also use, I’m not against the dedicated Sony stream handheld. But price is important, but it also has to work good enough that it doesn’t get in the way. I’m not so sure….

Glad to see our PSVR2 lord and savior Dusting standing up for us PSVR2 nerds! It’s becoming a super underrated piece of tech for no good reason. Other than “where are the games?” Meanwhile the PS5 is also in the same camp since most games don’t feel next gen at all. Not seeing the same energy there.

Colin’s issue with Dustin’s psvr recommendation not being a game made for psvr(resident evil) is the exact problem I have with the ps5. They’re all ps4 games.

Great episode boys. The EA FC logo is a pyramid because of football tactics. The most common player position on the pitch is 4-4-2 which creates the pyramid shape. There’s a famous book called inverting the pyramid about soccer tactics and how it’s evolved from the games inception till now.

There are other Monster Hunter clones like God Eater and Dauntless. Wild Hearts is okay but they missed the mark with it having less depth along with it having major technical issues and the graphics aren’t good.

I’ve gotta back up my boy Dustin about PSVR2. My first play through of RE Village was in VR and it was a top 10 gaming moment for me. Been playing games for 35 years. It’s kind of disorienting and a little finicky, but you’re legit IN the game - I could draw a map of the grounds from memory. I tried to play the DLC normally afterwards and gave up because it felt like a pale imitation. PSVR2 has no juice and will languish because reasons, but I’m a believer.

Remote Play devices don’t have to be connected at home. You can remote play anywhere there’s a Wi-Fi connection. I remote play on my iPad at work all the time with a dualsense. I’d imagine this Q lite device would be the same. It kinda just sounded like Dustin was implying you’d have to play this at home.

Square Enix treats their classics better than any company I’ve seen. Being able to shut off random encounters just makes it so much more pleasant. I know some people will complain about “pure” playthroughs, but I think as long as you’re not breaking the game by getting to level 99 in the first 5 hours you’re good.

Why doesn't Sony put PSVR2 on PC? More expensive VR units appeal more to the PC crowd that is much more willing to spend than console gamers.
