I (Dustin) am so excited to be doing this new show with an awesome lineup of co-hosts, including Gene Park, Dagan Moriarty, and Mama Micah! In our inaugural episode, we lay out what this show is all about, along with how it stays true to the Last Stand Media style while charting its own path. So, once all of the celebratory opening is done, we dive right into it. The Switch is dominating, having now become the third-best-selling home console of all time. However, with that success, there are rumors of what's on the horizon. Additionally, Nintendo is doing a totally new type of event for the US with Nintendo Live, taking place in the fall in Seattle. Finally, we dive into the game on everyone's mind right now, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This title has set the world on fire, dominating the conversation both online and off. It's an exciting time to be a Nintendo fan, and that's why we knew we had to do this show. So, join us on this new adventure! We hope you love it.

The Xenoblade games require your full attention with their unique combat systems and deep cast of characters. It's not a standard JRPG that you can zone out on with muscle memory.

I was born in '85 and have been gaming on Nintendo platforms (and all others) since I could hold a controller. In my experience, current Nintendo coverage is either surface level fun or sort of hyperbolic and inaccurate. I believe a lot of people are eager to get past the hyperbole and explore Nintendo in a more sincere and accurate way. Also, Gene's Aonuma and Fujibayashi story at the Nintendo Store was Podcast Gold!

Maybe open each question up to the whole panel and offer a multiple choice if possible. That way someone could at least try to guess when they are clueless about the subject. We gotta stop hearing semi spoilers on the game, things like “oh you need to finish this game cause the finale is blah blah blah” I don’t want to hear hinting at what is to come or what the finale is like or what a certain shrine is like. I know it’s hard to talk about a game you have beaten and also don’t want to share spoilers. But I even take those as spoilers. I want it to be a complete surprise as to how and what the ending looks like or the reward you get for doing whatever. I digress. Love the pod!

I love all the LSM shows and this just added even more to what is already a stacked lineup of shows. Super excited to hear your guys’ take on all things Nintendo. Early I know of course, but you guys should totally incorporate an episode down the line once you’ve gotten your footing where you each share your top 5 first party Nintendo games of all time or some other ranking of some sort.
