Major overreaction, didn't need to be a 10/10 showcase, the internet had some stupid expectations for some life changing event. It was a 6 or 7 out of 10. Maybe a 5 if you're really harsh. Playstation has delivered the goods in the past and will more than likely continue to do so! Xbox has not!

I feel bad for both Xbox and Playstation fans. Nintendo fans are off in the corner enjoying one of the greatest games ever made and the other two are seemingly fighting over table scraps lmao. HOW ON EARTH does Spider-man 2 not have a solid release date??? Ive got a bad feeling its going to be very very late, like November, and Starfield on the Xbox side will for sure be a buggy un-optimized mess (like all Bethesda games) and cause even more uproar on the green side. It is 100 percent going to be 30fps again yall, so get ready for that drama! 2023 has been a very very weird year. Outside of Zelda and FF 16 theres not been much of interest to me personally, and i wont be playing FF 16 for at least another 2 years as Sony shilled out to lock it to PS5 yet again, so that means 2025 Steam release... *sigh* What a year. Hope everyone finds something they enjoy regardless of "team" this year though!

I know that it will have to wait for the next video but can yall touch on the feeling of media bias against Xbox for the major gaming sites that have been all the scuttlebutt on Reddit and twitter? With Katbot being an IGN director's comments and Destin's recent hit piece it seems like people are starting to call them out with the damage control and unfair reporting.

The showcase was straight garbage. You’re right, very disappointing. PlayStation should absolutely be ashamed for wasting everyone’s time and basically making the showcase name mean straight up dog shit now. The big game you show for this year apparently doesn’t even have a hard date? CGI trailers. Full of indies. Most games shown going to Xbox. Hardly any showing of the first party studios. I don’t want fine. I don’t want just ok or even good. This showcase needed to be 10/10 hype and show the goods. This was branded as a PlayStation Showcase. Not a extended State of Play. The Showcase use to have meaning cause Sony set those standards themselves. Now a PlayStation Showcase has zero meaning and they should never do one again. Just let Keighley show off all your games at this point cause y’all clearly don’t care and didn’t even try at all with this showcase. Sorry RANT OVER.

The showcase was fine, not great, just fine. I'm half expecting them to come with another one next month with how much was missing. Pretty good change they're doing state of plays to highlight specific games like Factions etc. The amount of third party games was really surprising though.

Simple, why do they need to show you or Xbox anything? Do we not understand that Sony is trying to show that the are level with Xbox because of the merger. Xbox was saying that Sony has all the games and that’s why they need this Activision merger to happen. Phil spencer literally said Xbox will never beat PlayStation on his interview with Kinda funny. So why would you show the world anything more then what Xbox has to offer them. It’s actually brilliant.

Don’t misunderstand, just because it’s underwhelming doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good show. But if they’re willing to show CGI trailers and no gameplay why can we not have a peak at what Bend or SP are doing? The whole purpose of the show is to satisfy your customer base and apart from FF7R2 what else am I meant to be looking forward to?

That’s your opinion, they don’t need to show dates until their good and ready. The games looked good and I rather see this any day then Xbox lie and say here’s what is coming out the next 12 months and it doesn’t. Just be glad they showed you anything.

What dates did this show have? To put it into perspective this Sony show felt like an Xbox show on a good day. When you have the expectations on Sony because of their consistent quality and you haven’t said anything since 2021, of course it’s underwhelming.

Sony PlayStation showcase was exactly what it needed to be for today. Why show everything when everyone is watching you? The Xbox merger is close to not being completed and if Sony came out with everything I believe it would only benefit Xbox . It was calculated and smart to show just enough but not enough to the world.
