Imagine if time only exists as a perception. For instance, when we look at the microscopic world under a microscope, everything appears to move rapidly. Now imagine if our universe were nothing more than an atom in the grand scale and you were a being observing our universe under a microscope. Time would be perceived completely differently. I like toying with the concept that time is nothing more than our perception. What if in the grand scale, everything is happening all at once. Bang! Instantaneously all energy in the universe explodes, implodes, explodes, implodes, and so forth in a period of time so brief that we cannot even perceive it. Everyone and everything we observe are both one and many all at once. Now juxtapose this against religion, paranormal events, meditation, etc. Maybe these stories aren't as far fetched as we might think. Under this premise, if you could truly attune your body and energy to be in the present, you could feel attuned to the entire universe. Sorry for the diatribe, I just love thinking about this stuff.

Just caught this episode on Spotify and we had what was believed to be a rumor at my high school, 2002, about a phallic meat and a drunk girl at a party.. Having known the girl, spending lunchtime in the library, not wanting to believe it.. And hoping it wasn't true.. Much to my chagrin, she told me all about and some silverware.. As she had been drinking at the party, a sophomore, with juniors and seniors.. All drunk or high.. And she was embarrassed to own up to it.. But yes, it had happened as a suggestion and her willingness to cave into peer pressure or seem cool.. Just allowed her to use a spoon.. And someone digging around the kitchen, finding a frozen kielbasa. Her adding the spoon, all on her own adding to the originally, jovial, question at hand.. And made me feel like I had taken a punch to the gut.. Because I had a small puppy dog crush on my lunch mate, but after this conversation and seeing how it made her feel.. She just stopped hanging out with us during lunch. Sad time for having been a junior in high school and just being overly awkward and insensitive.. Though later finding out about someone trying to get her to use a Nokia. 😔

I've never really thought about "Why" I like listening to this batch of personalities week after week for years on end, but after hearing these Horoscope breakdowns it seems to make more sense given how many of our unspoken traits align. We are all just riding out our existence on a floating rock in space. A. Floating. Rock.

Colin, I'm late to watching this episode but I love the alien talk. If you're interested check out C.S. Lewis' Out of the Silent Planet / Perelandra books. I haven't read them since high school but I was fascinated by how little we knew of other planets are the time and he does touch on there being a universal religion. Might have to give it another read now

The story of Quizno's is really sad. The quality standards were so high that franchise owners were unable to turn a profit. I miss going there in my teens with my family. They were around for such a short time in my area. The best toasted subs around.

Thanks again for yet another great episide. On the topic of UFOs, I'd implore you folks to look into the Betty and Barney Hill story, as well as the Betty Andreasson story. These are abductee accounts that feel legitimate, from people with nothing to gain. Andreasson herself was a devout Christian and that plays in to her story. Other valuable resources would be J. Allen Hynek, who worked on Project Bluebook, and Jacques Vallee.

Bit surprised about how taken aback everyone was in regards to Aliens. It's always been a guilty pleasure of mine, disclosure project and Steven Greer have had hundreds of military officers on record since 2000 that this stuff exists and that the government is covering it up, so its really not surprising to me that its finally starting to be confirmed. My guess would be that there is some clock on the lid being blown off this that we aren't aware of, and they have no choice but to get out in front of it.

I’ll only respond to the fast food this time. The first time I had a double down from KFC, I was in South Korea. Thought it was a regional item. I thought I was going to have a stroke. Popeye’s is definitely underrated. The play for this establishment is to get the spicy tenders, and, for the dip, you gotta get the cocktail sauce. A buddy of mine showed me that also during my time in South Korea. They also have Pizza Hit out there and they put corn on their pizza’s. WILD, but not too bad. Just not an every day thing. Finally, as far as Del Taco’s reach into the east, I’ve only seen it out in El Paso. Not sure if they’ve expanded since the last time I was out there though. P.S. Carl’s Jr. Is over priced, but they’d win me back if they brought back the Diablo burger. That thing slapped.

To Colin regarding aliens: current leading theories of quantum physics suggests there are at least 9 dimensions. I believe these dimensions account for the fact that 95% of the universe is completely invisible to us, in what we call dark matter. Our understanding of distance and time is based on our position as beings in 3 spatial dimensions. Consider how we would look at a 2dimensional being, if that were a thing. We view Mario as being trapped in the tv. Now imagine what a 4th dimensional being would view us, we are trapped. What about a 5th dimensional being? You see my point… clearing the distance of the universe might be a non issue at some level where you could potentially bypass space through straight up wormhole teleportation. Or what if travelling through time would be as simple as scrubbing through a YouTube video? I leave this possibility open that the aliens aren’t just technologically superior, but they may be operating in a higher dimension and just pop into 3d like tourists. Also, one more point about religion and aliens. I watched something recently that expounded on the old conspiracy about nazis having ufos. Supposedly, Moussalini was in possession of a craft after a crash and recovery leading up to the culmination of WW2 and nuclear bombs. It was said that the Vatican was involved in moving this artefact around and they have full knowledge of aliens. Quite an interesting wrinkle if that were true. Maybe ancient aliens was accurate after all and aliens have been intermittently intervening when deemed necessary to kickstart our growth. We aren’t alone but there had to be a first intelligence that woke up in an empty universe. Perhaps like mass effect they seeded or at the very least, are serving as good gardeners growing life in the galaxy.
