In terms of the Tesco talk, writing’s been on the wall for a while with that, sections for games have never been huge in the Tesco Superstores, but over the last few years definitely shrunk, but in Tesco Extras (the really big ones) they usually had separate PlayStation, Nintendo, and Microsoft sections that were a fairly decent size. They don’t stock games in Tesco Express, which is like the little Tesco, more of a large corner shop. I think it’s probably got to a point were originally they were maybe making a bit of money, maybe just breaking even, but I’d imagine they take a loss on games now. Supermarkets in the UK do tend to sell games cheaper than a lot of other places - imagine the idea is people come in to buy a game, and do their normal shopping as well. Haven’t bought a game at Tesco for years but just looked then, and for Demon’s Souls and the Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, should have been £140 RRP, I paid £104 - that was with an employee discount that’s usually 10%, but then they do these Clubcard deals, and it stacked, so I imagine they lost money in that sale. The other day I got Pikmin 4 from Asda, another UK supermarket, and it cost £40, as far as I’m aware that was the cheapest you could buy a Pikmin 4 boxed copy in the whole of the UK. Imagine all of the big supermarkets in the UK (Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s) will stop stocking games eventually. Peace out.

From the time I spent in England, Tesco was more of a Seven Eleven style shop. Had groceries in addition to convenience goods, but wasn't nearly the size of a Target or a Wal-Mart. There might be bigger locations, but this could explain why they're abandoning game sales.

Hey, just on the topic of Video Game shops in UK and Ireland. I’m from Ireland and Tesco would be our largest and most common shopping centre here, but the only games they really stocked were fifa, COD and a couple of lego titles, up until about three years ago my local Tesco still had some PS2 and PS3 titles on display and the prices were static and never changed. In terms of places to shop for games in Ireland, GameStop has left Ireland as has Argos in the past number of weeks (my two main sources) and CEX (a second hand tech / games shop) and Smyths are pretty much Ireland’s only source of actually buying physical games that i’m aware of now, I personally had to stop collecting physical games because there is pretty much nothing around me anymore without driving a distance. I hear Colin always talking about the digital market but and it’s pretty irritating hearing it because but my internet speed is 36mbps during the day and can plummet to 2/3mbps at night time, downloading Final Fantasy XVI took three days for example. Internet development is miles behind in Ireland unless you live in a town / city which is why I was always so against the digital market, but now I have to basically accept it because of lack of choice😅

Ratchet and Clank is able to run on a mechanical hard drive if you use the absolute minimum specs due to DirectStorage 1.2, which did not exist at the time of ratchet and clanks ps5 release. Though I do think Sony over hyped the ssd in the ps5 at release, they technically weren’t lying about it not being able to run without an ssd at the time. It’s new tech that retroactively makes their old marketing false.

There are no enamel pin makers in the US afaik because the process is so intensive for the $1.30 per pin that they're charging. If you ever find someone saying they're made in the US, they're a middleman working with a Chinese factory. I'm sure there are some smaller bespoke brands that do diecut metal pins, but every color on an enamel pin is filled in by hand, then baked.

Colin, The segment with Dustin being sensitive struck me as a toe over the line. I agree with you that you don’t mean real harm, but there was some clumsiness to the joke which is bound to happen so no big deal. However, defending yourself with “it’s just a joke, don’t make it so serious” felt closer to bullying than I think I’ve heard you before, and that’s my concern. Maybe I’m taking it too seriously, too, and I know Dustin doesn’t need my backup, but I want to speak my sympathy for our round-faced boy.

Im sure ratchet will boot and run with an HDD, but i can bet anytime something is streamed in the game will freeze and load (and thats going to be often considering all the portals and faster gameplay). Maybe to some people thats "playable with an HDD" But i bet most people will be like "wow this sucks, im getting an SSD"
