The kid will gravitate to the types of games they want to play and if they want to fill in those gaps later on that's always an option for them later. I say this as someone born mid 80's who got a chance to generally grow up together with the industry

It is possible for studios to be more efficient with their time and money to make great games. Its just harder. But should absolutely be the goal for games. Look what Remedy did with 30 million dollars and 3 years to make Control.

My mom was helping me move my stuff into a new house and she was horrified that I as a almost 30 year old still had a bunch of gaming dΓ©cor and was worried I wouldn't be able to bring women home. to that I just say, if she isn't down with the nerdy shit around my house than she isn't the one.
