While there's a lot of talk about other's reviews, the most important one is your own and thanks to Starfield being a Day 1 Game Pass game, it's never been easier to get involved. The Dukes dive into the infamous 7/10 reviews hailing from major outlets such as IGN and GameSpot. Is it worth all the frustration Xbox fans are facing when the game sits at a lovely 87 on OpenCritic? Do modern day reviews even matter with the numbers that Starfield is putting up? Perhaps most important of all, is this year so good that a 7/10 score is worth losing it over? Beyond the reviews, we assess the situation involving the arguably disingenuous conversation that is enshrouding the game. Have console wars overtaken one of Xbox's most important game releases ever? 2023-09-08 23:49:34 +0000 UTCWell considering this channel and many like it were expecting this game to be at God Of War, Zelda and Elden Ring levels I can see why. These lower scores don’t fit the narrative that Xbox is capable of producing elite caliber games that Nintendo, Sony, and other 3rd party companies do like Fromsoft. Which I think is evident, I think the last masterclass(over 90 on metacritic) AAA Xbox produced was maybe Halo reach and Gears 3 (excluding Forza and Flight simulator cause those are super niche). So it’s a bummer for those wanting those the narrative of a generation defining game and wants the critical consensus to reflect that as well. But like you said who cares?!? If you like it then praise maybe others will try it and agree.

Love starfield currently and an 85-90 is the right score tbh. Nothing about it is masterclass its very close though

Xbox fanboys have tried thier hardest to to tear down every PlayStation release possible with some form of negativity. It was pretty predictable that the game that has been seen as the savior of Xbox was gonna get targeted by the PlayStation fanboys in retaliation. I mean sure it sucks but it is what is. It’s not my kind of game but it makes me happy that others are honestly enjoying the game. I played Blasphemous 2 instead and got a platinum trophy. Im playing Sea Of Stars and Jedi Survivor now. Everyone should just play games they will have fun with. Gaming is supposed to be fun.
