Hey He/Hims, I wanted to hear Chris’ thoughts on Starfield. Overall, I think this game is barely a home run for Xbox when it could have been a grand slam. Theres a lot of good in Starfield but there’s also a lot of rough around the edges that will try your patience if you even slightly veer away from main story and factions quest lines. If I’m Phil Spencer, I would’ve delayed to early December and I expect some quality of life patches by then. It’s not Redfall but it’s a par for the course launch for Phils portfolio 🤷🏻♂️. For the record, I’m not talking about the jank. I enjoy it. Im talking about the inventory system designed only to increase playtime, the 900 planets that look straight out of Ark Survival evolved for Xbox one with barely anything to do on them, the leveling system sucks, enemies shooting through airlock doors, and the overall lack of player choice like every available party member disliking that you stole something. Anyways, your thoughts?

2023-09-07 11:15:40 +0000 UTCHello gentlemen, I hope that life finds you well and you are full of every good thing. More Bloodbourne rumors eeking out with the announcement of the New State of Play (The Asia Experience). Predictions? My prediction is what everyone is waiting for Wonderbook 2: The Reckoning. TAGLINE: "You thought the book was closed, think again." For PSVR 2, with new haptic and touch controls that really make you feel like killing yourself.

2023-09-07 10:40:39 +0000 UTCHey CDC, often indie and smaller developers design games based on the games they played as kids. In 20/30 years what games do you think devs will start making based off of their childhood? Are we going to see someone who loved Ubisoft games making a game with 300,000 collectibles? Or in 30 years when FromSoftware are making VR games which require you to move on a treadmill and wear armour to fight the undead from your Mum's basement - will we then see someone make their own version of Elden Ring?

2023-09-07 08:20:22 +0000 UTCHello Gents, What game do you reckon has served as an introduction to the medium for the most amount of people? I think it might be Wii Sports, a game which reached never before tapped audiences at unprecedented scale. Thanks for content, Logan
2023-09-07 02:04:09 +0000 UTCHey CDC, The discourse around Starfield has been all over the map, but I feel like not enough people are talking about how successful giving 5 days of early access to players who purchased the premium edition has been! With over 2 million copies sold at $100 bucks a pop, do you think Sony is noticing and will follow suite with their biggest releases? Its been mentioned on this show that, if they could go back in time, Sony would have set prices for new games at $80 dollars. Is this a way to make up some of that ground? Not feeling that, my dawgs. Thanks for the great content and LETS GO JETS
2023-09-07 01:39:31 +0000 UTCHey there CDC! What are your thoughts on gatekeeping? I personally know a few people who are overzealous gatekeepers of retro games. For example; I had a friend who stopped talking to me for a long while because I got into the MGS series during the PS3 era. His arguments were: “you weren’t there for it” and “games of that era belong to only us”. This got me thinking recently… Is gatekeeping acceptable? If so, to what extent is gatekeeping okay and not okay? Do you guys have any experiences partaking in gatekeeping or being on the receiving end of it? Love to know your thoughts! Thanks as always for keeping me alive through the week!

2023-09-07 01:07:12 +0000 UTCHey CDC, The other day I was thinking about PS2 games that I would like to see be remastered and one in particular came to mind - The Simpsons: Hit and Run. This game was one of my absolute favourite games when I was younger and almost everyone I know who owned a PS2 has very fond memories of it. I feel like a remaster of this game with trophies would be a huge hit although I would understand if licensing issues play a part in preventing it from happening. I would like to hear if any of you three also have fond memories of this game and whether you agree that a remaster (or remake!) of this could be a very cool and popular release. Cheers, Mitchell
