I can at least say for me that I was looking forward to it before the trailers and afterwards I felt that if the game didn't take it self very seriously then I wouldnt either. Its also my issue with the outer worlds, thats not a "marvel" game either, but it didn't take it self seriously enough and thats why I couldnt get invested. Hi fi rush probably hey fits the bill more but it worked it that game

I would look at the line "They are right behind me" and I wouldn't maybe do a light grin. Everyone is suddenly a writing critic. But then The Last of Us is 'too serious'.

Every bad-looking story that Bloomberg spreads about Sony comes from him, and it only makes Sony look from bad to worse, due to his writing and selecting the wording to make it so.

If Starfield released on PS5 I feel it would generate more negative discourse. The game is good in my opinion but it lacks polish and is extremely dated. They flat out lied in parts of their showcase too, something that has just been glossed over. Imagine Jim Ryan saying you could fly to any planets and go anywhere. He would be absolutely demolished. People kicked up a fuss about Kratos going through gaps to his loading yet Starfield has an average of 1 loading screens per minute

Shat on for "cringe marvel writing" Launched at a god awful time, for a high price no one was going to pay (forspoken is still 94 cad before tax on steam and psn) But under all that both games seem to be solid 7 out of 10's. I just picked up Forspoken for 56 cad on ebay and had a blast with it, looks like immortals is my next game to watch on ebay and ill pull the trigger when its 50 percent off. Real sad that both games absolutely nuked the studios and devs that worked on them. There seems to be a problem with modern gamers where everything has to be 8 out of 10 or better, or they just wont even bother. Shame. Some of my all time fav games are in the 6.5/7 out of 10 range. Rage, RAGE 2, Forspoken, Duke Nukem Forever. Not every game has to be a masterpiece yall, theres plenty of fun in the "AA" range as Colin would put it.

Writing is a trade, and lesser experienced writers get better, when they get to work with other experienced and, or quality writers. One of the demands from the WGA is to make studios have full writers rooms for series.

Living in Wisconsin my whole life though, Rodgers was abit injury prone. Had 2 years maybe 3 with significant time out. But coming after Farve i kinda chalked it up to the bar being very high. Just in recent months we got a lengthy gameplay sequence at the showcase, a story trailer, and now on this SoP it showed how the open world works and now they've evolved that. And that's before we mention all the previews that just dropped today. I don't think an IP like Spiderman is gonna suffer from not being marketed enough either, it's gonna sell several millions very quickly. Can't wait to play it.
