I wonder if Sting assumed Jim Carrey played The Joker in Batman Forever and just didn't bother double-checking cause: c'mon, it's TNA.

Fact Check: this was Tessmachers second reign as knockouts champion, first reign she beat Kim for the title and second reign beat Rayne to get the title not Tara. And also the reason Terrell was first introduced was because Rayne beat tessmacher to end her first reign because she had Earl Hebner. So terrell was introduced for the rematch.
Sorry itβs a deadlock reference

I've always loved the fact that the big reveal of Devon was done with his back to the camera. π And the Hogan save spot was so awful, right out of the Rock 'n' Wrestling era where guys just wait their turn to be slightly tapped in the head and sell it like they've been hit with a sledgehammer.

I have every TNA PPV from 2009 - 2014 on DVD and the majority of the impact episode recorded on VHS. They are all in a box in my mom's basement, if you want to pay for shipping from Canada

That was my point, but I wonder if Al Snow was a trainer behind the scenes. I feel like he had a wrestling school as well.

Al Snow was the lead trainer on the original seasons of Tough Enough. He literally helped train everyone who came through Tough Enough at that time.

I remember my reaction to the D-Von reveal went from βok who is this?β to βIts D-Von? So is Bully Ray the leader of Aces and Eights then?β
They could have taken the chance to see D-Von as the leader but as soon as you think about it you realise that letβs be honest D-Von is always a follower never the one who calls the shots so it wouldnβt have probably worked

Luke, i will say TNA is still TNA at this point they just emphasise the Impact Wrestling branding of the TV show, they won't officially become Impact until the Anthem buy them and they want to get the stink off them. Also it was Bobby Roode that "worked" both GFW and NXT at the same time, there was also commentary done in post talking about how he was the NXT champ

Ok so I think I shocked a few people (mainly Luke and Oli) when I said that this was my favorite TNA PPV of all time. A little bit of context.
I started watching wrestling in 2008 and never watched TNA before the January 4th episode. I then started to watch regularly in 2011 when WWE was not that great. In 2012, I was deep in the TNA > WWE camp, so I remember being so excited for this show. I am indeed a huge James Storm fan, a big fan of Hardy and Aries at that time, and somehow I was invested in the Aces and Eights storyline and didn't find it completely dumb. Maybe it's just because I wanted to believe that TNA was better than WWE back then, but this PPV brings back good memories. I even have a review of it from a forum I was on back then.
So yeah, I stand by it, this is my favorite TNA PPV of all time
