The original entrance fee was 1 billion extol per person, which would have been 100,000 berries per person. The punishment was paying 10 times as much which brings it to the 1 million berries per person and 7 million for the whole crew. So even before the price got multiplied it was still super expensive.

The name of this particular island is Skypiea. Skypiea is a sky island, located within the White-White Sea. Just like the island Alabasta is located in the sea of the Grand Line.
