Skypiea is a great arc indeed. Many are going to downplay or hype particular arcs (even more than ever), which I think ultimately ruins your first impression of said arcs. You really gotta take all of it with a grain of salt, and hopefully not let it kill your vibe on certain arcs, or build unnecessary anticipations.

This filler arc. Really feels like part of the story. Not only that but all the straw hat was used wisely like everyone had their fair share of moments.

G8 gets a lot of credit for being just the least bad filler IMO. The next arc gets dragged out a bit in the anime but it’s much needed fun/silliness before shit gets really real.

Water 7 saga (LRLI , water 7, enise lobby arcs) makes skypiea arc look like childsplay. I'm really excited for you guys

In this episode luffy mentioned he wanted a bronze statue. All the straw hats are getting a statue in oda’s hometown I believe. Luffy’s was the first one built, sanji and ussop got theirs recently. In 2016 Oda donated about $7million after an earthquake, under the name of luffy . I guess they’re kinda building the statues as a thanks.

Cannot wait for the next arc bois. Glad you enjoyed Skypeia! For a lot of people Skypeia is their least favourite arc... For me I love it. The story is just so damn good. Some of the fights a lil lackluster I suppose tho. Next arc is fiiiiire :)

You guys were right. Watch Skypeia as a kid didn't give me a chance to appreciate it. Rewatching it with you two is really a different experience and it's no longer my least favorite arc. Thank you for the reactions! Also IMO I feel like the anime volume is a bit too high, sometimes I wasn't able to catch what Amenz was saying because the anime was louder than the mic volume.
