Filler means Oda had no hand in writing it, so if you're looking for answers, you won't find them in filler. Ace giving luffy the vivre card was a canon scene, but in the manga Ace doesnt travel with them and gives it to luffy on the going merry, then dips. That's why that episode is seen as filler.

I think these guys saying "skip that, its a bad arc" or "you HAVE to watch that filler" ruin the experience for everybody. People are lowkey spoiling the next arcs by saying when somethin important happens or imo even when they "spoil" what the next island is gonna be I really hope that you guys chill out a bit in the future and just let DD watch the cannon and let them decide on their own if they wanna watch certain filler episodes.

PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT: Ok so im going help you guys please do not skip this next arc. Yes it does feel filler but at the end of the day it still is canon and has important parts. Its really short so you need to watch 207-212 and skip to 217-219 and then skip to 226 and watch from 19:00 mins in. We could time stamp it for you. Trust me after this you are heading into an s tier arc. Theres a pretty good theory that this next arc may make a call back in the current story and if its true yall would miss out on the significance of that because oda likes to bring back things to full circle hundreds of chapters later. The gaimon episode was also canon but felt filler but tied in with buggy. And also regardless of people saying just skip to 227 must have forgot how 207 opens up. They cant just miss that?

This Ark lets the crew increase their relationship, and show what they care about, Zoro and his swords, Usopp and going Merry and his tools, Robin care free and enjoying the crew, Nami and her gold, luffy and his meat, you now have emotional build up to the characters, plus where they was saying what they would buy with their portion of gold!

It seems like you guys forgot, but Impact Dials, while not as powerful as Reject Dials, still have a powerful kickback to them. Nami used one with Gan Fall's gauntlet and she nearly broke her arm.

Long Ring Long Land is arguably the worst cannon arc in One Piece. You should definitely watch it before continuing but I think I can speak for most in saying you could watch that off camera and go straight to the Water7 arc. Watch LRLL before Water 7 though.

Go to https://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/one-piece and if an episode is red, skip it. There will still be shit people ask for, like single special episodes, but ya'll can deal with that when you get there.

There are 2 bigreasons people enjoy this filler. 1. The named cast is actually very well written for the time they existed. Every character felt unique and drawn out so mich so we wanted a bit more than what we got of them notice that we had more of the captain than of the crew and ask urself would u mind seeing more of him? 2. This was the first time we saw how competent the navy can truly be and not as a sect of 8-10 marines but as an entire system of military architectures. This gives credence to its existence as an established organized world power on a minute scale.

the reason why this filler is supposedly 'overhyped' is because its the only filler that's enjoyable. from the beginning of the series y'all asked if y'all should skip fillers and everyone said yes except for this one because it's hilarious, not that its a ground breaking arc. we love seeing y'all crack up so that's why people wanted a reaction to this arc
