I agree completely, I don't think it was him snapping and being pissed off, I think it was him trying to teach a very important lesson to someone who was basically his son in a very unfortunate situation where he needed to take control of the situation. If Franky had said that back in the shop and they were able to just sit and discuss it he might have handled it differently, but them being on trial wasn't the best circumstances.

I don’t think Tom the type to snap on random people if he overheard them talking bad about their ships they built. I think it was more of a parental responsibility that Tom felt to let franky know the type of person he wants franky to be. Tom raised franky and iceburg as a father figure so I think it was more of a father tellin his son don’t be ashamed of your dreams. Tom knows franky’s intent for building his battle ships weren’t made for evil intent which is why when iceburg was yelling at franky about building them Tom told iceburg to leave him alone. Other than that another 🔥🔥 reaction y’all!!
