Don't get me wrong, a S2 would be amazing considering what happens in the series after this arc, but I have absolutely zero faith it'll ever happen. It's been ~5 years since S1 aired and in that time the manga has ended, meaning the publishers have no incentive to fund a S2. Remember, anime adaptions are more often then not made to advertise their source material. Not only that, but to say that the manga's ending was poorly received would be like saying the Waffen SS had a few bad apples. Unless it's a direct announcement, don't get your hopes up.
