I agree with you a little bit but if they are talking about his fights then it still doesn’t make any sense. They said it themselves that sanji vs mr2 and jyabura are better than zoro’s fight. Mr. 1 and kaku are zoro’s biggest fights up to this arc. Zoro slicing a tsunami with luffy isn’t a fight. Zoro had his moments and so is sanji, so it still doesn’t make any sense why he still getting played on his fights?

Nah it wasn't a mistake, Sanji literally saw the directions on the wall then went back to make sure Zoro got the key lmao. Never once did it show sanji actually leave the area.

I will say this y’all concerns about sanji’s fights are valid. I will also say luffy & zoro will always be the hype of the talk. Sanji is still on that level but he’s not the character that zoro & luffy are ultimately so it’s kind of nuisance with him, respectfully

It wasn’t an error though, the last time we saw sanji was him looking at that paints on the wall. He didn’t go to that direction just yet. He probably went back to see if zoro defeated his opponent and gotten the key so he can guide him to where he is supposed to go.

Maybe not as rock solid as I previously thought :,D Sanji showing up where Zoro is was likeeee oooooH shiitt Might have been an animation error where they showed things a bit out of order.. And yeah the verdict on Zoro's final attack is usually 50/50 with people. Some love it and some are like "we didn't even see it?". All takes are fair. Dope reactions dudes. I like that you aren't afraid to be honest :)

I went back to 299 and double checked Lycan, Sanji never went down the path the arrows pointed. You said it was a mistake but Sanji just saw the arrows, realized they were pointing to where Robin is, and then says "I have to hurry" so it makes sense that he would realize he can't leave Zoro to find his own way just in case his key is the one they need, cause WE ALL KNOW Zoro will absolutely get lost on his own. Sanji beat Jabra and ended up on the bottom floor, saw the arrows, and then went back upstairs to where Zoro was and by the time he got there the fight was over. No mistake. No error. Also the phrase you're looking for is not "depth perception" but "perspective." Like when you act like you're squishing a person far away with your fingers. That's perspective.

I think part of the reason people took "he's getting played" for Sanji meaning you were saying him as a character in general was kept getting played, not just in the sense of fights was because you were talking about people being in denial if they weren't agreeing with you on that if they really liked Sanji or he was their favorite character. I think at this point in the show people are not a fan of Sanji because of his fights though, they're a fan because they enjoy his personality and the actions that he takes that lead to his big moments, more so than his fights. When you kept bringing up though it really made it sound like you were just talking about Sanji in general like his fights were bad and he didn't have other high points that offset that. Also sometimes we (some of us) aren't so much trying to disagree with you as much as remind you of stuff you've forgotten. Good talk. We'll all try harder.

Wow can't believe DD invented a time machine just so they could go back in time to watch these episodes before the end of the month. Real talk I think people are extra thirsty for One Piece since the show has stopped airing due to rona which is crazy since it's been airing non-stop for almost 20 years minus the occasional holiday or delay to a random marathon broadcast.

Asura grows on you because instant reaction it is not as flashy as Gear second or Diable jambe. Eyes don t glow like monster point. It's more subtle and slick. I feel like Asura is so frickin cold but it s not every one's taste

Yeah, almost all of the Zoro Kaku fight was a LOT of lost potential, could have been greatness but it went down with kakus devil fruit and ended with bad animation and just felt like a letdown somehow. But the future will make up for it!

Sanji never followed the arrows and went into the under ground tunnel. After his fight with Jabra he sees the arrows and walks over to them to read the message and looks down the hall the arrows are pointing, then he looks at his key and says he needs to get it to robin and the scene ends. He next shows up on zoros floor after he. Lycan (lyc4n?) assumed he went down the hall and him showing up upstairs is a mistake. Its not a mistake his assumption was just wrong, what probably happened was he realized if went right to robin and his key was the wrong one and it ended up being zoros key that they needed they would be fucked cause no way in hell would zoro get thru that tunnel, he would find a way to get lost going down a straight hallway, idk how but he would. So he went upstairs to get zoros key before heading to robin.

double dragons just so you guys know its not always wrong depth perception, some things are just soooo big in one piece they have to scale it down to fit in the screen. for example some scenes a big character will be the size of a building but when they have to draw other details they cant have that 1 big person taking up the whole screen so they scale them down alittle to make all the details fit into the picture

Wanna give my 2 cents with the Sanji stuff. Yeah you guys mentioned just fights and that's understandable (or at least everyone should get it). Everybody has their thing. Luffy has the best fights but he also has the least knowledge of the central backstory (Arlong for example) and he's the most aloof when it comes to that. When it comes to fights, he's your guy though but when it comes to the other stuff? He can't help you. Zoro has dope fights but with him he's usually straight-forward with his mindset. Zoro doesn't have any conflicts with his character like Usopp and Nami do with theirs and the only time he did thus far as a Strawhat was with Mihawk when he lost. Chopper, his story is about him growing up and being included in with his brothers and sisters the Strawhats so his tales are different from theirs. His is a "child grows into a man" story. Usopp, he doesn't fight much but his entire character is about him changing from who he was who he wants to become in the most human way possible given he doesn't have any special powers, he's relatable when it comes to that. Robin, Nami, you know, anyway. With Sanji, like stated he's usually a step ahead of the others with his planning and tactics, he's smart, he's more mature usually and with that said he doesn't get much fights. If we're looking at only in fights then yeah he's being played in a way given his opponents aren't like Luffy and Zoro's but that's the thing with Oda, he doesn't put fights first and foremost. He focused on the story and world building before anything and with Sanji as a character he's focused more on his tactical smooth side rather than how many dudes he can bust up. For some viewers that's their thing but for others, it's not. It varies depending on the viewer. So in a way yeah, fighting-wise he doesn't get as much as some of the others but from an overall character complexity and development he's more than just fights. He's more well-rounded than the Luffy and Zoros from a character standpoint if you factor that into it. Not saying he's better but he's a different kind of character as he's used in other ways compared to being just a fighter. At the end of the day each Strawhat is dope for what they bring to the table. If anyone disagrees then hey they gotta rewatch or reread. Oda makes dope characters no matter if people agree with what they do or they don't.
