I always saw gear third to have the most versibility he could expand his body parts to sheild people...it could potentially allow him to be a pseudo-giant like old man Guild master from fairy tail.

2020-06-02 12:08:24 +0000 UTCYea gear 2 definitely was better than gear 3 introduction especially for all the build up I will say it was underwhelming seeing how badass gear 2 is with its strength and speed increase, gear 3 didn't look as flashy and is just a power increase if gear 2 is x2 strength id say gear 3 is x4 but it doesnt have the speed kinda feels like SSJ1 with the muscle power increase. But saying all that Gear 3 gets a lot better over time Luffy uses it in versatile ways

I wish oda made luffy’s arms look bigger like franky’s for 3rd gear or something and that it just changes size for more power. But it will look cool over time though. Anyway, gear 2 is luffy’s speed form and gear 3rd is power form.
