A lot of people say that this is a spoof show, but I never really thought that. Nobody really seems to think about what it would be like to live in eternal boredom. Yeah, Saitama could beat Goku, but that's his character. He is a man that loves to fight, but can't get any stronger and has no equal. Instead of having a cliche story about someone getting stronger, they chose to make a story about becoming a real Hero.

Like with the Goku vs Saitama talk, Goku wouldn't win, not because he isn't stronger but because Saitama is just a gag. Like if Goku fought Bugs Bunny, Bugs would win every time. One Punch man is just a comedy with great fighting animation. Genos losing is just part of another gag imo. The web comic is some of the worst animation ever, so I think the comedy comes out more predominate in the original

2020-06-24 04:38:41 +0000 UTCto me I think the point of the anime is just to laugh but story wise its not about him being strong but rather him being acknowledged and we all know they always overlook Saitama because he looks normal. the story more revolves around the people close to Saitama and those who will soon encounter him and to eventually recognize him as the best. second season is where the heat is:D
