It's a weird translation but Glint Glint Fruit can also be translated as Light Light Fruit or the japanese version Pika Pika no Mi. Kizaru is a Light Person.

This i'm afraid. The funimation literal translation can lead to one kind of downplaying the power. After all what's a mere "glint" or "glimmer" compared to say lightning? Kizaru is literally a light-man, as much as Enel is a lightning-man, Ace is a flame-man and Aokiji is an ice-man (and Smoker is a smoking smoke-man, lol). I was glad that they weren't so quick to downplay Kizaru's power compared with Enel as the name might like a viewer to maybe infer; it's sort of a wash as they said: I mean what's faster and more powerful? Lightning? Or light itself? It's kind of a hard idea to even wrap your head around first without bogging yourself down with nitpicking, real life science.

I wouldn't read too much into the definition of Glint in regards to Kizarus power. He is a light man, not a "small" light man. Luffys fruit was called the gum gum fruit but he is a rubber man. Oda often times gives off a weird synonym for the fruit that doesn't hold entirely true to its power.

Devil fruit names were created to do Japanese onomatopoeia. For example bara has no meaning along Buggy's power but bara bara means splitting. I have read that similarly when there is no word to directly describe the fruit Oda named it after the property of the fruit. Like Enel's goro goro no mi which is the sound lightning makes, or Kizaru's pika pika no mi which is visible light like glinting or blinking. That is why some times fruit names sound weird when translated in Englsh like rumble rumble or glint glint. It is just the play of words Oda did to create onomatopoeia. Mr.1's supa supa no mi also like that. It is the sound of slicing, while his fruit is in literal sense blade blade fruit. But to create onomatopomia Oda named it slice slice fruit. I know many in fandom might know this information. Just wanted to share for those who doesn't.
