I agree the Bellamy fight annoyed me too, and I kinda get it Luffy doesn't wanna hurt his friend but Bellamy is hurting himself more trying to fight

If Shanks turns out to be against Luffy's goals, Luffy will do what it takes. Luffy would try his damnedest to resolve things with Shanks. But if he turned about to be as much a snake as Doffy is, Luffy gonna throw hands.

2021-09-21 15:47:07 +0000 UTCYou guys don't seem to realize that Doffy is like a Shanks figure to Bellamy. It would be like Luffy meeting up with Shanks eventually and he's actually not the person he thinks he is, and is really an Evil Man . Bellamy see's Doffy "Letting Him Free" as giving him one last chance to appease him. I think people were always hold up that Bellamy would fight Doffy, with Luffy because it would be cool, but the way Bellamy is as a character, It would be impossible for him to Fight the man he looks up too. I think people don't realize how deep it is for him. The only thing is the Bellamy Fight with Luffy is extended so much that it just makes you not appreciate whats really going on. I still appreciate that the writing fits the characters morals and doesn't give into the Fan Service of appeasing the fans that want a cool fight.
