Bro the ABSOLUTE RAGE I had towards gon after he said those things to Killua us why to this day I can't stand this little kid. He don't deserve killua and this just made me angry at him again But I do understand he is a kid going through trauma so it's kinda hard but killua deserves better 😔

I get how you guys interpret Gon's anger/insanity as pent up and coming out of nowhere (because I did at first before watching reactions to this show). But Gon's insanity is foreshadowed even when he was ready to die during the hunter exam with his match against Hanzo. And it is especially made clear when he sacrificed an entire arm when he didn't want "get pushed around" with his fight against the bomber. This is the most emotional we have seen Gon, but it's not like it came out of left field. He has always been an unstable wild kid, and it's only through the situation he is in that he is pushed to this point of anger and darkness. Enjoy y'alls reactions though, keep up the good work. Just thought I would put my thoughts in for once

100% One of my favourite episodes of the show and after this episode I knew that chimera ant arc is my favourite anime arc of all time, The sheer amount of emotions displayed were too good and gon had every right to be angry at pitou

I don't blame you for not knowing this but in the manga Kite was sort of a father figure for Gon when he was younger but they don't show it in the 2011 anime adaptation which a lot of people agree lowers the impact of this scene

Amenz, you might say that Gon was warranted for his actions but one thing that was completely unwarranted was his treatment of Killua. So yeah, bottling it up isn't good, the rage is indiscriminate hits everyone around you.

Just wanted to say killua does care about kite killua is just able to control his emotions while gon can’t. Gon also basically spent the same amount of time with kite as killua. Gon has always had probable controlling his emotions as he’s said before it’s killua job to keep him in check not that killua doesn’t care about kite.

Killua said that because the whole purpose of going back was to save kite not kill pitou.

It’s crazy how in the beginning of the arc gon is human and the king is the animal but as the arc continues they both slowly start to become the other like gon becoming more animal like and the king becoming more human like
