Did yall catch when palm and ikagalo was hiding komugi, palm said we are worse than they are bc she knew the king wanted her and that he was also poisonus.

Someone would probably post the details about the whole Gungi matches theories that the Japanese discussion boards had back when the episode first aired. I'll just give you a basic rundown: -Remote Concealment/Fortress was a move that Komugi developed a while back. When Meruem played it a while back, Komugi immediately defeated him and called it similar to killing her child once again. -Komugi plays Remote Concealment in this episode and Meruem thought she's mocking him, but she found a way out. -There's the whole symbolism of Komugi reaching Meruem in his "Remote Concealment/Fortress", by finally figuring a way out etc. -Also Komugi sneaked in a traditional marriage proposal in the form of a response, which assumes Meruem asked in the first place. -In the manga, the after credits scene was all black pages, suggesting that Meruem went blind from the poison. So he kinda joins Komugi in her darkness.

The scene with Diego shows you an underlying theme of this arc. The Real Diego has been retired for 30 years and living his life reciting poetry. The fake Diego that Meruem killed was simply a stand-in who became a tyrant. It's a direct comparison with the whole concept of Monarchy that Meruem brings up a lot. Both the fake Diego and early Meruem were tyrants who abused their powers. If given the opportunity however, Meruem would've become someone like the Real Diego and retired in some sort of quiet neighbourhood playing Gungi. Netero took that chance away cause he deemed Meruem too dangerous.

We don't know if that's ever confirmed to be a nen condition since it was set a while back. Also, Komugi's nen awakening happened in front of Meruem, so it's rather recent. She's been the best prodigy even before using nen. Also, a great example of this topic is episode 48 right after Uvogin's fight. There was the appraiser episode when Gon and Killua were going around the flea market. Remember even his knock-off creations had nen cause the appraiser focused really hard on his craft.

Palm's acting the exact same way Netero was when she confronted Meruem. The difference is that Palm can empathise a lot more cause she's part ant, so she gave into Meruem's requests.

She does have nen. Like Wing said that the beginning, there are people all over the world, champion boxers, nasa scientists, world leaders, legendary soldiers etc that unconsciously use nen without ever knowing or receiving training. Komugi is someone like that, who is even stronger because like Kurapika, she put a condition on her power. If she ever lost a game, she would lose her life.
