The reason gon's hair didnt shrink is because hair doesnt shrink after its grown and isnt biological. muscles and bone can become smaller or bigger, and when he made his condition, he grew to his prime, so when his condition ran out, he went back to normal other than his hair, which isnt living. idk why his nails didnt grow though.
