there is a theory that big mom is similar to those kids from punk hazard, cause her parents are normal humans but she is close to giant sized and the same way those kids be gonig crazy for candy is similar to how big mom acts about food. some people theorize that big mom is a failed experiment and that might be why her parents ditch her. also they did say that the gov been trying to make ppl into giants for years . might also explain her tuff skin.

4 is a bit excessive I’d say, most well paced anime have episodes covering 2-3 chapters worth of manga source material with a minimum of 2, if it’s based on a manga.

It’s the animation fault for having these annoying moments. Toei messed up one piece’s anime for quite a while because they had to drag it out. This episode is only 1 manga chapter that’s 17 pages lol. Good pacing for an anime episode is 3-4chapters per episode. One piece doesn’t take break like demoslayer and other new animes out there.

Most people in the one piece community believe that big mom ate all of the orphans and mother caramel who were around the table. It’s the theory that makes the most sense too since we see big mom use the soul soul fruit for the first time within a day or so after they disappeared.
