2022-03-12 12:53:08 +0000 UTCI went into HxH with zero expectations and I think that's why I enjoyed it so much. Especially the Chimera Ant Arc. When I rewatched tho I noticed there were quite a few dragged out parts of that arc where not much happened, like around when Killua fights those two weird ants doing the darts shit. The arc has some incredibly high peaks but is fairly average between those moments. First time I watched, thought it was some of the best shit ever. Second+ time, good but not THAT good Greed Island to me is a bit lame except for Dodge Ball. That shit was fkn sick, doesnt matter how many watch throughs that shit is always awesome. The villain of the arc sucked, especially after facing Razor in Dodge Ball because he was just so much cooler I didn't love the Kurapika/Spider arc first time I watched, but I think its my favourite arc now

Like when I started Hunter X Hunter, my friends said you don't even know until you get to the Chimera Ant Ark, its the best Arc in Anime. Then when I got their I enjoyed it but It wasn't to that degree for me. It wasn't until this last arc that I truly put Hunter Hunter in the A tier.

I wish the anime studio just kept on animating after this. I don't have it in me to read the manga past this but seeing Ging's adventure animated would be fantastic!! Gon is great but I'd much rather watch his dad do cool stuff.
