Sakura hate is def a bangwagon thing but tbf I dont think if those same people actually watched naruto they wouldn't change their opinion. I always thought she was poorly written from the start. She didn't do anything , was all on sauske's nuts and shit talked naruto or hit him all the time. Thats very typical shounen female writing. There arent many good female characters. Hinata had potential until she did literally nothing in shippuden and they had a chance to make sakura likeable in shippuden as well but... we know how that went. I for one still believe Sakura is one of the worst characters of a main cast in any anime I've ever seen. Not even just female. Just overall. 4 episodes in and I like Kugisaki A LOT more. She's strong, Funny, she's aggressive and her personality meshes well with itadori and megumi. Sakura's personality was very forced and annoying.

I agree with the bandwagon Sakura hate being ridiculous but tbh, you very rarely find a good shounen girl, Sakura showed a lot of potential at the beginning of Shippuden for it to be wasted once she saw Sasuke and was left in the dust during the war. Kugisaki is such a good shounen girl that some people thought the artist was a woman for how well she's portrayed.
