If this anime had Garp as the main character and we followed his journey to becoming a navy hero, y’all would back him up to not save ace and Luffy because they’re pirates. But because we are watching it through the eyes of Luffy the pirate, its easy to shit on Garp for his decisions. Amenz need to at least understand Garps actions. Agree or disagree with Garp is cool, but shitting on him is sad because he’s a legit good and true person who protects and serves the GOOD people, NOT PIRATES.

I understand why you asked why did akainu wants squardo to stab whitebeard if they had a deal. But akainu specifically said that he will personally save the allied pirates if he can stab whitebeard. The fake deal was supposed to be just the whitebeard pirates are gonna be safe. Also, those new world pirates that were getting mopped by kumas are fodders lol. The whitebeard commanders and allied captains can def take those kumas down but they didn’t show it yet because they were making the scene with squard and allied pirates be intensed by showing them that they didn’t have anywhere to go and they were being cornered by the navy. If oda suddenly showed them beating tbe kumas out left and right it would have diminished the intensity of it.

To answer your question of why did he need to stab whitebeard if they had a deal, its simple, Akainu was acting like he wasn't cool with the "plan" because he didn't want Whitebeard to get all the praise even though it was all just a scheme.

One thing ya'll have to keep in mind that the translation threw off a bit. Its not that Whitebeard let himself get stabbed or that he's voluntarily getting weaker. What marco actually says in a correct translation, is that Whitebeard is definitely getting weaker because of his health, as normally he should've been able to dodge that attack easily, but its clear to see that his health is worsening as he couldn't even dodge that attack
