bruh u cant just make your body tangible when ever u want lol. ace's body is now permanently made of fire and the only thing that could go through is magma or haki. akainu has already landed a hit so honestly he already knew he was going to get hit regardless logia or not.

For real tho...it wasnt haki or magma lol Ace had to let Akainu hit his real body to stop the fist from hitting Luffy. If it went through him from logia powers itd just still hit luffy. Would make no sense for Ace to do that.

Fun fact in the manga akainu took off half of whitebeard face instead of the beard the anime censored it.

In manga half his head was burned off, so he fought akainu with only half his head intact u should look the manga panel.....

There is a big difference between Ace and Akainu not only in terms of Devil Fruit, but the raw physical strength too, but there is not that much difference between a weakened Whitebeard and an Almost Intact Akainu. I just think they are under estimating the power of an admiral.

Also its important to note that Ace took the hit by choice had he tried to evade Luffy would have died. He sacrificed himself. Noting to do with Logia' being stronger than Ace's in this instance. If ace made a hole with his power luffy would have been the dead one.

The magma burning Ace even though he is Logia was stated in the same set of episodes. Ace was burned by Akainu when they first exchanged blows and Akainu noted that his magma is hotter than Ace's fire which is why he was burned. Feels like an Oda ass pull, but I guess it makes sense. Following that logic, since his arm got burned, the rest of his body would be vulnerable as well. If I remember correctly, Amenz was asking Lycan a question at the time which is probably why they missed that particular line. All that being said, that's alright. The reactions are still FIRE! Some people need to calm down. It ain't that serious...
