Yeah theyβre a lot youtubers who started one piece around the time they did and have been caught up for a year. Idk why they just donβt focus on catching up for a month. Their channel will grow way faster especially when theyβre caught up to weekly new episodes. They still have about a year to go at this rate. Not to mention all the spoilers you keep yourself open to the longer you take.

Personally I think Chopper's location is more symbolic of his struggle than something practical. He mentioned that the plants on the island are pretty unique, but the main thing the narrator has been saying about the island is that the balance between man and animals was off. Both sides saw the others as monsters out to get them, just like how Chopper used to be treated on his home island. But he overcame hatred and started to view everything as a sickness to be cured, even a whole nation. He was able to apply that outlook on this island and help the humans and birds come to an understanding. As a Doctor first, Chopper's development is in helping other people, so it kind of makes sense that he's the only one who landed in a place where there's no obvious person there to help him. His strength and development has always been about overcoming himself and his own doubts. Doctorine taught him medicine technically, but Chopper did develop his fighting skills and rumble balls alone after that. Well that's how I view it anyway. It's true he's still the one with the least significance to the world building, which is a shame. Happy new year again y'all, looking forward to a new year and a new kind of One Piece!
