The Vivi hate is real, I don't mind you don't like the character, but she isn't crying all the time. First Time Vivi cried Luffy convinced her to cry and said " You do cry" so don't be making stuff up to justify your points. Also Vivi did put in work, you remember our introduction to Drum she got shot, and Luffy was going to mop everyone, which would have gotten Nami killed cause she was Sick. Vivi let the shot go and taught Luffy that not everything is resolved by fighting.

Amenz the first time we ever saw ben beckman was the first luffy flashback all the way at the beginning of the series. Luffy actually talks to him and addresses him as first mate of shanks' crew. All we've seen him use is a pistol, so true he could be a marksman, but I doubt that's all he can do since he's basically the Raleigh of the red haired pirates.

Brook is based off of Prince who could play all those instruments and Slash. That's why he wears the purple suit with the ruffles. Oda loves afros so he just gave him one instead of one of his signatures perms or curls. He also made Brook super tall to be the opposite of Prince who was only 5'5 and the hat comes from Slash.

The only thing that determines if someone is or isn't a Strawhat, is Luffy inviting you into the crew. It's Luffy's crew and it's his choice as captain. Putting in work means nothing, it's the captain's call. Luffy asked Brook to join the first time he met him, and that's all that needs to happen.
