Fyi whitebeard saved Fishman island from pillaging pirates. Whitebeard pirates beign the pure embodiment of a family doesn't make every pirate group like that and garp beign the ain't gonna follow shitty orders marine doesn't mean every marine is gonna be like that. On one side you got the safe but threatening "protection" of the marines while on the otherside you got the rebellious/freedom seaking/pillaging pirates. The majority of the world's gonna pick marines for the calmness they bring even though they maybe a mistake away from annihilation instead of the chaos pirates bring. Luffy and most ppl he call friend's aren't pirate's. At least they don't embody what generally pirate are. They are exceptions to this pirate-marine debate.

Pirates in general literally pillage civilians, world gov., and navy. The navy is supposed to be enforcing the laws to prevent these things from happening. The problem is that some are bad and others are controlled by the world government. But 99.9% of the time pirates are bad. Look at the Supernova they are almost all thieves and criminals. That why Kid is famous for killing.

2021-02-08 19:24:52 +0000 UTCaymenz was right about what he was trying to say, he was just saying if fisher tiger and the sun pirates met a group of humans that were kind/good people like the whitebeard pirates then it would probably change their perspective of ''all humans are evil'' since so far in life all they have known is evil humans. but it's pretty clear the whitebeard pirates and whitebeard were like luffy and the straw hats, good and kind hearted people who cared about freeing and saving enslaved people and who also fought bad/evil pirates along the way. plus it would make a huge difference because so far all they have known are humans who have tried to kill fishmen, and if they found out whitebeard was protecting fishmen from danger that would be pretty huge
